As a former StoryCorps facilitator, this is fucking disgusting.

End the project already, Dave.

You created a good model: you encouraged people to sit and do oral history for 20 yrs.

Turning StoryCorps into a surveillance capitalism nightmare is not worth the money to keep the project going.

An ADSBx map showing Journey’s N62FF going from Mesa AZ to Shannon airport in Ireland.

An ADSBx map showing Journey’s N62FF going from Mesa AZ to Shannon airport in Ireland.

HEADS-UP, IRELAND: A likely ICE flight has just landed at Shannon again, likely to refuel before delivering shackled migrants to god-knows-where.

This is the same plane that sent migrants to Uganda — a country they had never been to before — on April 1.

Another morning of ICE sightings happening around Chicagoland and the northwest burbs as yes, they are still here, operating under the surface as they were before Bovino's spectacle.

Whatever happens, this is a deeply shameful episode in American history that will leave a permanent stain on the country.

Repeatedly vowing to commit war crimes against millions of innocent civilians is beyond the pale.

A microcosm of the dangers of selling our soul to american corporations. Someone in Ireland is extremely publicly losing their position due having a basic pro Palestine, anti-genocide stance shared widely by the Irish public. Thats a very serious thing.

Rest in power Breonna Taylor. Today, we mourn six years without her, and six years without justice or accountability.

The U.S. has the highest incarceration rate for women in the world.

This #WomensHistoryMonth, we're thinking of all the women locked behind bars, away from their families. They can't get lost in the fight to end mass incarceration.

Every time I see a news article about the DOJ violating dozens of court orders before getting a “final” stern warning from the judge, I think about the thousands of people each year who face immediate arrest warrants and detention for missing or being late to a court date

One of the families we've been helping, the father was finally released from the facility in Texas and then from Whipple. They dumped him on the street with no coat, no phone, nothing, in single digit temps. Bless the people who monitor Whipple 24/7

It was transforming the biggest NFL stage in the world into a sugar cane plantation that did it for me.

Like, the multiple layers of turning an American icon into a plantation and highlighting the history of exploitation of Black and Brown bodies by the NFL and American colonialism simultaneously?

VII. CONCLUSION
There is an old adage among lawyers. If you have the facts on your side, pound the
facts. If you have the law on your side, pound the law. If you have neither, pound the table.
Secretary Noem, the record to-date shows, does not have the facts on her side or at least has
ignored them. Does not have the law on her side or at least has ignored it. Having neither and
bringing the adage into the 21st century, she pounds X (f/k/a Twitter).
Kristi Noem has a First Amendment right to call immigrants killers, leeches, entitlement
junkies, and any other inapt name she wants. Secretary Noem, however, is constrained by both
our Constitution and the APA to apply faithfully the facts to the law in implementing the TPS
program. The record to-date shows she has yet to do that.
By accompanying Order, the Court GRANTS Plaintiffs' Renewed Motion for a Stay
 Under 5 U.S.C. § 705.

We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.

Alex Pretti’s Killer May Be Part of His Union Border Patrol agents belong to the same federal workers union as VA nurses, a situation some of Pretti’s colleagues are determined to change.

As a VA nurse, Alex Pretti was a member of AFGE. This union also reps Border Patrol, and may have repped Pretti's killer. I talked to VA workers who are furious and want Border Patrol out of AFGE. "For a union member to kill another is a fundamental betrayal of what a union is supposed to be.”

A New Low for American Workers The share of American income going to labor is at its lowest level since measurements began.

The labor share of GDP is lower today than it has been at any time since records began being kept in 1947.
The share of the nation’s income going to workers has fallen 16 points in that 78-year stretch. The share going to capital has risen by the same amount.

Four Oglala detainees located, three still in ICE custody - ICT The four Lakota detainees were reportedly sent to a former concentration camp used during the Dakota Wars

This is surreal. 4 Oglala Lakota men kidnapped by ICE in Minneapolis have finally been located. One of them was released but the other 3 are being held at Fort Snelling, a former concentration camp used to imprison Native people incl. the Dakota 38 during Dakota Wars.

Two queer women with a 6 year old in school today stopped to film ICE and for their bravery ICE agents murdered one before the other’s eyes. The grief in the survivor’s voice is a knife to the gut. Destroying people and their bonds is what ICE has always done.
