I think it’d be pretty neat if some user friendly optimization tools were included in the VRC sdk.

ALSO I think now is the time for performance ranks below very poor to differentiate between medium with 100k tris and half a gigabyte of vram and half a million tris

Hopefully the performance restricted instances cause asset creators to take a step back from the quality arms race and release more optimized assets. It's already got me planning a more optimized version of the collar I released on booth #VRChat

i'll just stick to being very poor despite optimizing everything but tris to medium.

i love spending time in blender and even enjoy the processes of optimizing my avatars, but the ever increasing tri count on new, and ESPECIALLY, popular bases/outfits takes so much longer to decimate that i hardly ever do it anymore.

#VRChat has make the tri count limit scale with rank instead of good to very poor. most modern assets are just not built to fit 70k, and i feel like that number being so unachievable for the new-average playerbase makes optimizing in other ways seem pointless if the avatar is just gonna be very poor

i desperately want to watch northernlion play the new lethal company update but i cant because i wanna play it blind :(
