My dad was born on an Iowa farm 5 days before the ‘29 crash. He enlisted in the Navy & got accepted to the Academy (USNA Class of 1953). He was a brilliant engineer & would not have gone to college otherwise. Education is vital for all of us!

Just passed over the bridge again. Traffic free-flowing but noticed a police boat in the river down below and emergency vehicles in the parking lot of the Yacht Club.

As a former state agency supervisor , I have to say that the states do GOOD inspection work. Often more frequent and more efficient than FDA inspections. But the FDA has seen state work as inferior and not given equal pay for equal work. This is NOT a bad thing if FDA actually partners with states.
