"LOOK! THIS PERSON IS TRYING TO WRITE AND DRAW AND LEARN BUT THEY AREN'T THERE YET! THEY AREN'T ANY GOOD!"

nobody cares. No one is thinking that, bro. You're fine. You're figuring it out. And if someone somehow DOES care, fuck 'em. They aren't worth the brain space.

Creating things is such a pure joy. Anyone that tries to stamp that out because they deem someones' work not "good enough" is just being cruel. Keep making things.

Free speech is more than me being allowed to say what I want. Everyone also has to like it and tell me I'm a smart and handsome boy

A four frame comic about Captain Torture. The first frame shows the sign "BREAKING NEWS" and the drawing of a man, with the words "CAPTAIN TORTURES PASSES AWAY" near him. The second frame shows a journalist holding a mic, as she says "A controversial and divisive figure, Captain torture will be remembered for his key role in history." The News title is "Mourning day for Captain-". The third frame shows three posts on social media. The first one is by a man called Paul James @Paulitician. He writes: "I didn't always agree with Captain Torture but he sure was a man who believed in something." The second post by James Paul @Avegetable reads: "I pay my respects to Captain Torture and his family. His heart was in the right place- with our country." The third post is by SonicVomit @SonicBleh , and reads "HE TORTURED PEOPLE". The fourth frame shows an interview on TV. An angry man on the right is saying: "Let me tell you something, Jen. I think it's SICK to celebrate Captain Torture's death. These people should be LOCKED UP, and also tortured-". The news below says: "Every president on earth pays homage-".

also tagging your work makes it easier for people that WANT to see your work to find it. like it's beneficial for everyone involved

tagging things properly also allows ppl with sex trauma to avoid content that might aggravate that. consent matters. sometimes accidents happens, but purposefully not tagging shit like that is asshole behaviour imo

i say this in agreement with you btw. it's frustrating to see the black and white discourse about this every time it comes up and ppls absolute refusal to take off the white patriarchal lens

I thought most people knew the coat colour = personality trait thing was a myth?? Like one of those things you know is fake but participate in for fun, like astrology or haunted houses lol

i'm not the most knowledgeable about code stuff but iirc the problem is more about the way mods like mare expose peoples PCs to vulnerabilities bc it can affect the TPM files? or something to that effect

Very fair response imo. Yoshi-p deserves a nice vacation after this last year, it seems like the whole team has had a lot on their plate

One of my favorite comments regarding the Yoshi-P post was a JP players saying he spoke in sentences written in a way that kindergartner could understand.

Reminder, again, that, yes, while the DOGE-ing was juvenile & clueless, it is vitally important to remain focused on the fact that these people need to be arrested, prosecuted, & sent to jail for a very long time for illegally & unconstitutionally dismantling the federal government.

of patriarchy and racism, and that none of it exists in a vacuum. We need to be able to talk about these things as broader, systemic issues without people derailing to defend their own personal choices.

I've also noticed there's a lot of defensiveness to any perceived shaming around topics like sex work and porn, and I say that as someone that agrees with some aspects of choice feminism. Like, I'm not inherently against porn in theory, but we also have to understand what porn is in the context -c-

This is something that has frustrated me greatly with interactions I've had with gen Z women in particular and their feminism. Any good faith criticism is immediately shut down with "let women enjoy things" or "you're not a girl's girl". Many of them do not want to engage with things critically.

That's fair haha, it does look similar to a lot of games of that style. The devs are working on Enshrouded now and I'd recommend checking it out if you like survival crafters and action RPGs!

a stylized illustration with the text "generative AI was never ethical". The piece features a black cat pulling cables out of the back of a robot. The robot has a conveyor belt attached to it that is pulling in packages that read "stolen art, stolen writing, stolen voices, stolen videos, stolen likeness, stolen photos, stolen books, stolen code, and stolen ideas." The piece is a reminder that generative ai was built on the backs of real artists, photographers, writers, and everyone else's creative expressions as humans in order to churn out slop to feed back to us.
