Simon Dupree and The Big Sound had one hit, Kites, that they hated, but they were wrong cos it's bloody brilliant. Then they secretly recorded as The Moles. Then they transmogrified into Gentle Giant and did songs called things like The Advent of Panurge.

Everyone knows that elfin troubadour Donovan claims to have invented pretty much every aspect of popular music in the second half of the 20th century, but his Greatest Hits are so good, we'll let him off.

Another game I'd heard about, wondered about but never played. Slightly related: Mindshadow, a game I only had the first part of, seemed surreal and mysterious, like The Prisoner. Played the 2nd half many, many years later with an emulator and it turned out to be a fairly conventional thriller.

Fun Fact: Thomas McRocklin, pint sized guitar slinging wunderkind star of The BBC's Arena Heavy Metal Special, ended up in an all teen band Bad4Good, which was fronted by Danny Cooksey, better known as the Axl-looking pal of John Connor in Terminator 2.

Shout out to Bruce Dickinson- singer, pilot, novelist (kinda), fencer, fondler of other men's codpieces and probably the best person to present a documentary about heavy metal in 1989

ARENA AGGRO! Ahead of the broadcast of the documentary, Kerrang weighed in and told everyone what was wrong with it. Fair, but you can't really complain about Napalm Death playing two songs when that lasts about as long as a big sneeze
