I'm not watching the video but I'm very invested in what it says about tuxedos. For - reasons.

Said the same thing to my husband just an hour ago.
Term limits in all forms of government. Universal mail in ballots. Free healthcare that includes fully funded mental health. Grants for small businesses and artisans. Public art all over the place. Free higher education. Caps on corporate ownership of single family residences. Tax billionaires.
For the life of me I will never understand how she could write about exclusion and belonging and authenticity with such force and then become - whatever vehement twisted and mean thing she is now.
How far is Iran's ballistic reach, realistically?
Why the Afroman trial matters, beyond comedic value:
- Salving a white woman's tears over the consequences of her own actions is less important than invading the home of a black man.
- Redress for the bruised egos of white men is of lesser consideration than the affront faced by a black man.
What were they thinking going after Afroman! You don't get in a war of words with a man unafraid to issue unapologetic melodic ditties about getting high. (My personal favorite is also Crazy Rap).
My personal favorite is Crazy Rap, but Because I Got High is also amazing. Fair warning - it's catchy and ya gotta exercise some situational discretion when you want to sing along. (as my children pointed out when I was rolling on up in the car pool lane one day)
I have a friend who sold 15,000 and that wasn't enough for her publisher to take the option on her second book.
Because distribution and fulfillment is hard work.
Oh the fragility!
Even your garden-variety crisis management consultant could have predicted Iran would take that action.
Like, baby crisis mangers still wet behind the ears could have.
I'm not even a red head but my dad was and my son is so I'm a carrier and this rule applies to me as well. Which i found it the hard way.
Charis is such a lovely place. See you in Atlanta! Everything will be blooming.
Can we please retire the phase, "let me be clear" as delivered by nearly every politician in nearly every speech? As a rhetorical device, it is tired. "Clear" is subjective. "Let me" implies that a mysterious other is stopping you. "Be" is saying you weren't already being clear.
Sam the Butcher could end the mayhem with one swing.

Yes, and this is awesome. Now I just hope we actually follow up with action for the midterms. Because even an unpopular president with Trump's proclivity to insanity and venality wields enough power to make life miserable.
Why not both? Unless orders of magnitude count in some way.
Sometimes you really need instructions issued with serial commas and footnotes and not just exclamation points.
I am actually about to start. Thank you for the encouragement.
I do business continuity. Trust me I know this on a visceral level for everything from the manufacture of cupcakes to the tech platforms we all use.
And has an inception kernel that could no longer be created because either the knowledge to create it is gone or the tool used is obsolete.
We all live in a state of rubber bands, duct tape, and chewing gum and we don't even realize it.
I have no regrets.
That's probably better than my approach to just walk away as they are mid-spiel.
Absolutely best on-point meme ever. Kudos to you, sir, from someone who comes from endless generations of working women.
This is patently untrue. GenX. Both of my grandmothers worked as did every female family member I can name. Nurses, bank tellers, teachers, secretaries. Previous generations were farmers - which is hard work for the entire family. This fable has to stop.
Yes, publishing is a hard business. Yes, I am screaming into the void.
How many indie publishers are carrying books that do not sell? How many books are just out there in digital purgatory with no sales and all the back-of-house work? Especially in non-fiction, which is what I mostly publish. What is the opportunity cost in an already stretched budget?
It takes approx 60 hours per year to do reporting, keep up with metadata, issue even scant royalties, keep your listings updated, etc. for every book. In the digital age we really need to understand that "out of print" should still be a thing.
