I made a video explaining the basic mathematical concept of a flanger, deriving where the notches occur in a signal's spectrum.

Yesterday, I watched a clip from Au5 about creating a stereo sub with non-beating mono sum using a phase difference of ฯ/2 between each side. I realised Bitwig has a Hilbert transform module *natively*, so I built myself a quick "Hilbert Widener" patch. ๐
It's not perfect, but it's pretty close. I skipped the non-phat compression mode since it feels like black magic. xD
Spent the whole evening writing down transfer curves...
After doing the math to reverse engineer tube and mech from Camel Crusher (inspired by 9b0's video), I realised it's of course the same as doing phase distortion synthesis, and I could reuse transfer curves I found before๐ฉ. I want to write an article about transfer curves now.โจ
Stereo algebra.
We love quintuplets.
Took my tongue drum to a jam session on Saturday. I was really shy to play but in the end I had lots of fun playing with them. ๐
I recently found and reverse-engineered several functions for phase distortion synthesis. I'm cooking something up, and I'm getting closer and closer to finishing it. :D
New instrument to practice <(๏ฟฃ๏ธถ๏ฟฃ)>.
I wish I had a stereo recording setup. >.<

Saw Sungazer again with @adamneely.bsky.social , Shawn Crowder, Jared Yee, and Joshua De La Victoria today, and absolutely lost my mind. They also played all the pieces I hoped they would play. What an incredible night, I was smiling and bouncing around the entire time.
Day 101: A much more elegant way of doing the same thing. ๐
Day 99 & 100: Yesterday I did a few random things like working on a few patches, studying sounds and presets, etc. It definitely did things yet I didn't feel as productive. Similarly for today, but I did figure out how to recreate Vital's formant warping in the Grid. -w-
Day 97 & 98: I was quite busy both days. I first combined the XY phase-distortion setup with the 4D wavetable patch to make the ultimate 2*XY wavetable patch. On the day after I enhanced my random band pitcher rack to create random wild bass jams.
Day 96: XY phase distortion.
Day 94 & 95: Yesterday I played around with the Phasor module and manipulating the phase signal. I also tried doing some math with it. Today I made an XY patch of multiple phase modules and made a cool sample jam with it. Moreover, I've been working on my article on both days.>w<
Day 92 & 93: Yesterday I started writing an article about the math of Phase distortion and made presets with the methods. Today I figured out a better way to formulate the math so I have to rewrite the whole thing ๐ญ. I also played with Phasor and the phase modules in Bitwig. >w<
Day 91: I mathed real hard today.
Day 89 & 90: Yesterday I tried reverse-engineering a sound from Euphoria by Ata and got close but I thought the AM needed to be a bit more intense. Today I had a eureka moment: I unlocked the power of phase distortion!
Day 87 & 88: I didn't end up doing much but tried reverse engineering a pad I love but I hit a roadblock, so now this time feels kinda wasted.
Day 86: I have a wavetable obsession problem.
<(๏ฟฃ๏ธถ๏ฟฃ)>
(Glad I saved the note I recorded the original sample with. -w-)
Day 85: Today I made wavetables again, some of which I am really happy with! They turned out so cool! I tried making a psy bass with one of them and by extension ended up practising making a psytrance beat. ๐
Day 84: I don't remember all the random stuff I did. At least I processed some TTS voice shots, made more wavetables, and randomly made a pluck arp which took waaay too long, but I like it. If someone knows a better way to make clock & pitch arp syncs in the Grid please LMK. xDDD
Day 82 & 83: Yesterday I worked on a track but felt discouraged failing to make the bass I wanted. Today I made some utility patches & wavetables, studied what the "Blur" device actually does, and recreated a preset from this tutorial in the Grid. >w< youtu.be/b-4TkTnnrAM
I published a small Python programme for converting wavetables between WAV and WT formats. It can also add CLM data to WAV files, export individual cycles, and remove duplicate cycles๐. I might build binaries later but for now, Python is required.

Day 81: I continued working on a project and streamlining my 4D wavetable experience. I am really happy with it! I moreover made some bass jams with it again๐.
Day 79 & 80: I made some samples with the 4D wavetsble preset (I'll simply call it 4D instead of "2D positional space" lmao). On the day after I wrote a piano part and tried to make an intro part out of it. :3
Day 78: 2D position/frame space wavetables.
Day 77: I made a few wavetables, worked on my wavetable tools programme, and worked on an article about wavetable creation and specifications. :D

Day 76: I felt physically rather terrible today so I only experimented with PM-ing basic shapes by vocal samples. While that was cool, I also figured I could try modulating the sample playback speed, which sounds similar to PM. This chain became quite interesting!
