0.0.6 Patch Notes -

You can now earn credits by dueling, and then spend them at the new shop!

Instead of a booster pack, you now get 500 credits per win, which decreases slightly each time you beat the same duelist. This is to reward players for dueling a variety of NPCs.
On top of the credits you get a bonus booster pack the first time you beat each NPC.
Additional booster packs can be bought at Flip & Sip for 1000 credits each.
The shop will also have 6 Individual cards for sale that randomly rotate out after each win.
You can choose to sell all extra cards in your collection (cards you have 4 or more of) in exchange for credits. (Option to sell individual cards will come in a later update)
Future updates will add more shops that either sell different cards or sell non-card items.

New supported creature type: Reptile

Reptiles focus around effects that require them to be damaged.
3 new reptiles have been added, including the first Lv3 reptile: Rykalos, Rampaging Tyrant
Ravenous Ripclaw has been reworked to fit into the new Reptile theme: Now has a statline of 3/3700/7 and gains +1 ATK while damaged.
The Lone Lizard has been buffed to fit wit the new Reptile theme and now gains +1 ATK while damaged.

The Elemental creature type has been expanded

All creatures that were previously Elemental are now Pyro, Cryo, Aero, Geo, or Aquatic. The first 3 of these are brand new creature types used to add variety instead of oversaturating the Elemental type.
Some of these creatures have lost the Elemental type in this transition, as it will now be used more often for creatures that are MADE of elemental energy, instead of just infused with it.
1 new Lv2 Creature, a Pyro Geo Elemental named Molten Gorger, has been added, and has replaced Whirling Flame Warrior (which is no longer an Elemental) in the Lightning Legacy starter deck.

This weeks Flipside update introduced a new card: Killer Construct, as well as 2 reworked cards. Demons now have a more consistent play style of discarding for benefits, and Skull Swordsman was reworked to support the upcoming Undead archetype based around Creature Destruction.

Patch notes I forgot:
- Trying to perform a valid Level Up with a face-down creature now flips the creature up for you.
Bugfix: - Exiting a duel early will no longer default to the win/loss result of your previous duel.

0.0.5.1 Patch Notes-

A new Lv1 Demon/Machine, "Killer Construct", has been added.
When you select a Lv2 or higher creature in your hand, all creatures on your field that can Level Up into it will be highlighted.

Card Effect UI Revamp:

Choosing cards in any way, such as targets for an effect, or a card to add to your hand, has a revamped interface for clarity.
Chosen cards will now be highlighted
You will have an additional step to confirm your choices, with the previous auto-confirm feature being added back in as an option in a later update.

Mid-Duel Tutorial Overlay Replaced:

The old mid-duel tutorial image has been removed.
A new text box will now be displayed during your turn to explain your options during the current phase.
The tutorial overlay is now toggled on by default.

Balance Updates:
Two creatures have been reworked to better fit the play styles of their creature types:

Hellfire Hound has been reworked: It's ATK has been reduced by 1, and it's effect now states: "When this creature attacks: You can draw a card, then discard a card. This creature has +1 ATK if any player has discarded a card this turn."
Skull Swordsman has been reworked. It's stats are now 1/2300/3 and it's effect states: "When Destroyed and Sent to Graveyard: You can choose to have this card return from your graveyard to your hand at the end of this turn."

Bugfixes:

You can no longer attack your own creatures with your enemy's creatures during your combat phase. (Yes, this was actually possible and I had no idea).
Exiting a duel early while you have an effect prompt open will no longer break the interface.

Known bugs: -If you load a profile then quit to the main menu, new profiles cannot be created until you quit the application.

Just a heads up that the demo is SUPER early in production (mostly just a test of duels + deckbuilding, with a bunch of incomplete placeholder assets I mostly drew) but I would love to hear your thoughts on it!

In Flipside, decks are categorized by creature types, each with a distinct play style.

These types are designed so you can easily combine 2 or 3 in the same deck, so you can mix and match your favorite types and play styles!

A serpent and warrior deck utilizes sneaky and defensive strategies!

Currently I'm just focusing on getting the game solidified on Windows, but I do hope to release it for as many platforms as I can afford to port it to in the future!
It currently seems to run well on one of the protons for Steam Deck though, and I plan to refine it further.
