People that β¨readβ¨ but don't actually like reading

What doesn't kill you makes you very expensive to treat
I also used to always say, "Great news everyone!" before giving an assignment
but then also creating more people with permanent disabilities and longterm illness that will, I guess, drive up costs?
It annoys me that there are 3 accepted spellings of mama and it didn't accept phthalate
My husband (6'3") loves to tell people he is "about 6 foot" and you just see the light in the eye of the 5'11" men in the area fade
Except Colin
he's never been close enough to smell it
The qualification times are even harder than Boston. There's always the lottery, although you might have a better chance of winning the actual lottery.
Last speedwork session on the program was this morning. I was so excited to get up and try my new shorts, which I purchased on the promise they would not ride up. Well. It was 30 fucking degrees this morning and I had to wear tights.
Yeah mile 1 of New York is on the Verrazzano and it's a 150ft climb over that mile.
It's hilly, but I've also done New York and Brooklyn which are also very hilly, and I have trained specifically for the hills
Also Brittany Runs a Marathon is so cute and heartwarming. But very NYC specific. I'm pretty sure they got funding from NYRR to make it.
Pittsburgh!
also it's May so I'll probably just look the other kind of hot
Me: Last time, Macbeth murdered Duncan himself. This time, he has hired two murderers to take out Banquo for him.
Student: Did he hire only 2 murderers because I'm reading ahead and who the fuck is this??
Me: Okay that is an extremely good question.
I hope I look this hot at the finish of my marathon
ok
low key happy to be affected by a major train delay
I need this school year to be over. I am really scraping the bottom of the barrel for some enthusiasm for what I'm teaching.
I love mine. It's a funky shape and it gets up under the rim perfectly.
So a kid misses out on like a week of instruction to do 1/3 of a practice test I'm required to give, and we don't even get the data we're supposed to be testing for? So stupid.
We're forced to give these practice tests and students are just supposed to do them in the corner of the classroom while everyone else does something different. I have never gotten a kid to finish it.
Why couldn't she be the other kind of mermaid, with the fish part on the top and the lady part on the bottom?
In training, when it starts to get hard, I always go back to something a coach told me. I'm like, "This is where the fitness is built. These next three are the point of the last seven"
I would love to do St. Louis. The first time I attempted to train for a marathon, it was St. Louis, and I got injured and dropped down to the half instead. So I'd like to redeem myself there.
I'll at least do half. Usually by halfway I'm feeling better and go ahead and finish the whole thing, but if I still don't want to do it by halfway, I go ahead and quit. I probably need the extra rest.
Depends why it was bad I guess. If there's something to learn, I make a note of it. If it was just bad, well, they can't all be good. Tomorrow will probably be better.
Maybe this will sound harsh, but "Don't be a pussy" can usually get me there. And in the last miles of my recent marathon when I was really hurting and feeling kinda delirious, I was singing Oasis out loud.
