Arg, sorry. You mean the legal definition as per her job. I agree w/you
It’s kind of a trap to concentrate so much on ‘packing the court’. We only do that because that’s what Roosevelt tried (Pomo brain strikes again). We need a series of radical reforms, which can include more justices. I heard tons of sensible stuff during Biden‘s commission.
I'd say there is more to being ethical than merely being more/less open about what you're doing. They are both super gross. It's not illegal to be gross in this way, but I'm not sure it's ethical.
Yes, Swiss scientist Fritz Zwicky coined the term “dark matter” which is impressive, but he also coined the term “spherical bastard” to describe people who are bastards no matter which way you look at them, and I think that should be celebrated more.

Political cartoon from the 1960s-70s US political cartoonist "Herblock", who was very popular. It shows a shit-spattered Nixon standing knee deep in filth, coming out of the gutter, accosting John Q Public - an ordinary guy.
For those of you who don't know Herblock, I don't think it's too much to say that he transformed Nixon's image w/his very popular political cartoons. Here's our boy reaching out of the gutter-cesspool-spittoon-hades to accost John Q Public. Notice the lump of filth in his hand
Especially the way Herblock drew him!
Margo Martin @MargoMartin47 X.com Congratulations, Georgia Women's Tennis! The photo shows Trump and five white dudes in red ties standing in front of and completely blocking 10 young women
Priceless post from the official White House social media
Rather than selectively cite, I'll just say that Hana Lee Goldin is doing god's work. cardcatalogforlife.substack.com?utm_campaign...
I am surprised and heartened to hear this from Rhodes who in the past, as he admits in the piece, would have been one of the people equivocating about this kind of war (i.e. in te Obama admin). Good for him.
Façade of a pub in Brussels covered mostly in wisteria, except for a part on the 1st floor where a bronte statue is foxed on the wall showing a man dynamically lifting his head towards the sky as if he was enjoying the warmth of the sun.
Bonjourgoeiemorgen.
It is great to have such a sagacious pope(s), but why is he that much more so than just about any major political figure, whose job it is to be that way?
..so soul searching among Dems is hardly a mistake (rather the opposite). We know all about the right, so the q is: how have *we* failed? Nothing is mechanical, but something is going on
Of course there is no mechanically inevitable backlash - bow tied monsters have to carefully cultivate it. I would say tho that in a strict 2 party system esp w/relative party coherence we have now, there is an inherent symbiosis, and one party has been stuck on the losing end of that for a while..
woman looking at a photo of an atomic bomb detonating and her hair style looks the same
“Liliana Orsi, a 22-year-old beauty in Rome, Italy, displays her new atomic hairdo and the photo of the atomic blast which inspired it. It took a hair stylist 12 hours to arrange Liliana’s coiffure, so it’s not recommended for daily wear. ”

a photo of a small grey dog, named Baxter, laying flat on his stomach on a white couch covered with a dark grey blanket. the photo is taken from a distance while Baxter stares directly into the camera. the most notable part of Baxter's pose is the fact that his legs are comfortably propped up behind him at a 90 degree angle, creating an illusion that he's kicking up his feet like a teenage girl.
This is Baxter. He’s thinking about his crush. No he won’t tell you who it is. 12/10 (TT: jayshaun077)
Yeah, she's an Enforcer alright. But it really does not seem rare to me at all, at least in the anglophone world
I have to tell you, I drove in NYC a few years ago after having not done it in about 15 years, and it is completely insane out on the freeways. Insane. People driving 100+ all around, and routinely. Super dangerous
This might be the darkest truth about tech fascism
Yes exactly, they definitely do exist - the Plantner vs Mills 'discourse' is teeming w/them. See also the Khive
Some asshole cooking food in a stolen home
Israeli Telegram post: A picture of a female soldier preparing food in a kitchen in Bint Jbeil is causing a storm on Lebanese social networks
An IDF soldier happily prepares a meal in somebody’s stolen home in southern Lebanon.
If the homeowner tried to approach, they would be mercilessly killed by the IDF as a matter of routine, assuming this hasn’t already happened.

Americans are going to love paying the UAE so they don't have to cut back on yacht maintenance or the number of Sri Lankans they enslave
I wouldn't wipe my ass w/the BBC, although their weather reports are nice
This would only be news if someone said they *do* trust the ceasefire.
Ce serait une nouvelle si quelqu'un disait qu'il *fait confiance* au cessez-le-feu.
