the one with the hat was sort of inspired by some of the headdresses at last years buglasan festival, but mostly I think a big hat that you can throw is very fun

while I was out doing stuff I saw some really pretty masks and the store owner told me about the artists who make them and the stories behind their designs and the history of it all, it was so cool aughghhh

the targeting of any art that is "obscene" (terms of obscenity always to be decided at a whim) is fascistic yes but also how the only kinds of art that tends to be penalized is the individual/independent creators isn't lost on me. a patreon TOS would reject anything that can be streamed on netflix.

if there's one thing you can trust me to do, it's to forget about doing icon and banner art for my own web comic

I'll also be making that pinned post tomorrow because I finally got web comic pages ready for reading AND I finally got the icon & banner art for it finished

along with commission rates, I'll also make a Real Pinned Post tomorrow, with contact info and links and everything, something I've avoided doing for several years now

tentatively I also want to say I'll be open for Professional Art Work in the summer, but I don't want to over commit before Things Come To Pass 🫠

So saddened to hear about Gary Kelley’s passing. Kelley has been my favorite illustrator since i’ve been in art school, and you cannot overstate the level of influence he’s had on the American illustration cannon. One of the greatest to ever do it, and A terrible loss
