I can only speak for Sunnyvale, but our CERT program is pretty good. sunnyvaleserv.org/cert
I think there’s two classes per year for anyone who wants to learn all the things and we have a “deployment team” which meets once a month for drills and refresher classes. It’s something at least :D
When I’ve had them at the farmers market, they told me to just eat them like that 😅
Not sure if I found Patient Zero by looking at what else Ray Porter had narrated or if it was suggested due to my reading Scott Sigler’s Infected trilogy or Del Toro’s Strain Trilogy. I will say Rudy and Joe’s relationship is what convinced me to talk to a therapist for the first time, so thank you!
TIL!
I’ll have to rewatch the movie and see if they got that bit right
Booked! :D
🎉 #Teardown2026 will be happening 24-26th July.
We're in a cool new space: the Jupiter on Burnside. Our 60s mall era is dead, long live our 60s motel era.
Tickets, calls for participation + volunteers, and general info on the @crowdsupply.bsky.social site: www.crowdsupply.com/teardown/por...
Hey, any of y'all #PCB nerds have a favorite type of UV-cure solder mask? 👀
Just got my old Bantam mill back, and I'd like to level up my quick-prototyping game...

Do you have a J-Link compact and wonder why it only works with _some_ USB-C cables? I looked into why that is 🤬

Once I switched to micropython (from C) because I was out of ideas. I immediately got an "Invalid MISO pin" error, which made me take an nth look at the pinout and I finally saw it
Spent waaaaay too long trying to figure out why my board's SPI bus on GP6-GP9 wasn't working 🤦♂️
New episode is up!

🤯 I look forward to anything you end up writing about this!
When we throw up our hands and say none of it matters, we're doing the fascists’ work for them. They don't need to hide their corruption if they can convince us it's pointless to look. They don't need to silence truth-tellers if we've already decided truth is meaningless.
Have you tried How To Become The Dark Lord And Die Trying?

It’s no DCC, but I did enjoy it
Do folks have a favorite UV cured adhesive for PCB rework? For holding wires in place, etc…
My gargantuan presentation about Cold War attacks and intrusions into our intelligence apparatus has now been published. If you didn't catch it at #ShmooCon or #CackalackyCon now you can view it here...

Looking forward to the full-throated condemnation of this letter by those who accused the Biden administration of pressuring social media firms to moderate COVID-19 and election fraud misinfo! Any second now...

This is an expanded and updated version of the message we sent to our mailing list late last week.
Aha! I’d been trying to figure out who recommended the Dungeon Crawler Carl series!
Thank you for that :D
The audiobooks are a ton of fun.

Working on something today. I've been doing a lot of recapping recently and was getting tired of Googling pdfs. mightyohm.com/wiki/referen...
BlackMagic Probe connected to a target over SWD using an SWD2USBC adapter.
Have you ever wanted to debug your device over USB-C?
(I’m talking JTAG/SWD, not just USB!) If you already have a USB-C connector, there’s no need to have an additional connector to program!
Started as a twitter thread ages ago, but I've cleaned it up and added more info!

I’ve just been using Ubuntu on my raspberry pi’s since it’s what I’m most familiar with :/
It works really well for what it’s worth
I haven’t tried lockdown mode yet.
Can you forward/airdrop the attachment to a non-lockdowned device?
