Maleo are critically, endangered birds that lay eggs in hot places and let nature do the incubating— even in volcanoes! The bird looks back at the volcano and thinks, “Meh, they’re fine.”

Enjoy one of the weirdest “set it and forget it” parents that live in Sulawesi and a couple neighboring islands. #sciart #birds
A lesser yellowlegs looks down arrogantly at a greater yellow legs. This is because the lesser yellow legs is purchased upon a large pair of rubber yellow boots. The greater yellow legs looks up at the lesser yellow legs in confusion. Please comment if you’ve read this because I don’t know if anyone does. I think they’re at the beach.
👢you know the difference between a lesser yellowlegs and greater yellowlegs is measure by the footwear, right?

🦪 NEW COMIC🦀 Tiny pea crabs, or oyster crab ladies spend their adult lives living in bivalves, like oysters and mussels. The smaller males move freely through the water, following pheromones to their waiting mates. The males fertilize and move on to the next lady. Eggs hatch, and the cycle repeats. Apparently, if you get one in your oysters, they’re delicious. But usually shuckers remove them. Rumor has it, although the crabs eat whatever their host is having, they don’t harm their living home in any way. They’re the nice kind of parasite. (Unlike itchy human crabs.)🦀 Anybody see the @baysoxofficial new alt logos? Wow!
