Yes! There's so much hidden in the game for you to explore! I know before I wrapped up Act 2, I had put over 110 hours in it already.
Granted, presumably half of that is just spent fighting certain optional enemies over and over because of my skill issues but who is counting?
Dafuq? They allow god packs in Wonder Picks? Maybe because it wasn't a good one with 2 doubles?
Agreed. Combat can be really hard but I never feel that it was unfair or cheap. But, i also haven't gone against too many of the really late game optional bosses yet and I've heard those are just not nice.

Everytime I've ever been rude to someone at work because I've had a bad day, I usually find them later to apologize because they didn't deserve it.
