Germany possesses world-class engineering and nuclear talent that should not go to waste. Join us in making history.
anschalt-konferenz.de#tickets
Why Attend?
- Hear top experts, activists, & thought leaders on stabilizing Germany’s energy future.
- Connect with professionals committed to a strong economy, climate protection, & nature conservation.
- Explore concrete strategies for reactivating nuclear plants & achieving energy independence.
Have Restarts Happened Before?
Yes.
- Browns Ferry: Closed in 1985, restarted in 2007.
- Japan: Since 2011, 14 nuclear reactors have restarted.
- Palisades: Closed in 2022 & expected to return to service in 2025.
- Three Mile Island Unit 1: Closed in 2019 & expected to return to operation by 2028.
But why push for German nuclear plant restarts?
After two decades of Germany’s energy transition & nuclear phaseout, electricity prices and CO2 emissions are far too high.

It was great going to the @standupfornuclear.org protest in Belgium, but depressing that there's so many of them for closures of nuclear power plants. Unbelievable that gas is getting this handout in 2025!!
We and our friends from across Europe will join our Belgian allies at Doel tomorrow morning to mourn this loss and demand stakeholders,
1. Halt all decommissioning efforts
2. Restart reactors
3. Abolish the nuclear phaseout law
See you tomorrow.

Roses are red, violets are blue, on this day of love… Belgium says adieu!
Because nothing says ‘I love you’ like shutting down clean energy and cuddling up with more fossil fuels ❤️🔥

Good news for climate: Friends of the Earth has dropped its suit against the federal government for providing funds to keep the 2 gigawatt Diablo Canyon nuclear plant in Cali. operating through 2030. The plant supplies 8% of CA's electricity without emissions. www.eenews.net/articles/env...

In exactly one month from now, Belgium will again execute a #climate #crime!
#Doel1 NPP will be permanently and prematurely shut-down, due to a stupid law voted back in 2003!
Please come and join us to show your support against this premature closure on 15.02.2025!

A bar graph titled 'A Majority in Denmark Supports Building Nuclear Power Plants' showing results from a polling question: 'What would you vote if there were a referendum tomorrow on the construction of nuclear power plants in Denmark?' The results show: 55% Yes, 27% No, and 18% Don't know. The survey was conducted by MEGAFON (Danish polling & market analysis company) in 2024 on behalf of Kärnfull Energi DK during December 16-19, 2024. Graph created by Johan Christian Sollid (X: @sollidnuclear | LinkedIn: @sollid)
🇩🇰 For the first time ever, a majority of Danes surveyed say they would vote 'Yes' on a referendum to legalize nuclear energy in their country.

Nuclear in Belgium ⚛️ is the backbone of its clean energy infrastructure, generating 40% of its electricity (down from 50% in 2021), 60% of its clean electricity (down from 75% in 2021), & employing 2,000 high-paying jobs
Join us as we continue to put pressure on and fight for these reactors.
It is evident that "SHUTTING DOWN NUCLEAR PLANTS HURTS PEOPLE & OUR ENVIRONMENT"
Belgium must take steps to reverse its nuclear phaseout or next year, it will lose three reactors - 1.6 GWs of clean, reliable power.
Make your voices heard.

Remember that after Doel 3 closed in Sept 2022 & Tihange 2 closed in Jan 2023, losing 2GWs of clean power, Belgium saw CO2 emissions from electricity rise by 13%!
"Emissions rose from 146 to 168 grams of CO2 per kWh compared to the same period in 2022"
