Meet Trix Art by Applegreed Introducing Trix, a transportation pilot. Trix has an incredibly high mission objective completion rate and over a decade of service with Quebracho. Due to her record it was determined that piloting one of the prototype mechs would not yield the desired results. Trix Bio Trix sings to her vehicles stating that it improves the mood of the vehicle.

Today is the final "key" member of the Helianthus crew, Trix.
She is a pilot but of a different style than the 5 mech pilots. Trix generally pilots transportation vehicles.

Meet Xum Art by Applegreed Introducing Xum, the chef. Before Xum, Quebracho mostly used prepackaged food. She single handedly changed that and created a team of skilled chefs. Charaya recruiting Xum to the Helianthus is a highly contested matter. Eventually it was allowed due to the cooking staff being an independent team whose operation is not considered essential to QB's militarized operations. Xum Bio Fun Fact: Xum is the only orphan with Quebracho listed as their home to reach adulthood before going to QB.

Meet Fousafia Art by Applegreed Introducing Fousafia the Chief Mechanic of Vehicles. She is responsible for keeping the Helianthus and the other vehicles in peak condition. She is less hands on than Galenia, but makes excellent use of her team to get her job done. Fousafia Bio Fousafia is the fourth and final member that knows how to pilot the Helianthus. Her approach to repair and maintenance differ greatly than Galenia's so they frequently have arguments on how to best fix something. Fortunately their responsibilities are completely separate so no major conflicts come from these differences in opinion.

Meet Galin Art by Applegreed Introducing Galin, the Head Medic. She is responsible for monitoring the health of the pilots. This is her first long term assignment away from Riverbrake. Galin Bio Galin is the the older sister of Galenia. Notably Galin is not a doctor or a nurse. Her methods are frequently unorthodox and not readily acknowledged by the medical experts.

Meet Galenia Art by Applegreed Introducing Galenia, the Chief Mechanic of mechs. She is someone that focuses on her work, frequently becoming so consumed by it she does not acknowledge anyone or anything else. Galenia Bio Chief Mechanic of mechs, is an interesting label. Galenia is the first character so far that is from Riverbrake (RB), which actually is an organization rather than a location.

Meet Toa Art by Applegreed Introducing Toa from the Valley Pacifists. Toa shares a home region with Nila and wants to bring Nila back. She has put that on hold temporarily because she sees the value in learning more about the world than what just their valley has to offer. Toa Bio Toa is a later addition to the Helianthus crew. She is recruited after the voyage starts.

Meet Nila Art by Applegreed Entering Nila: Lead gunner for the Helianthus. What this title actually means is that Nila is the chief of ship defense and responsible for the non mech combat participants. She is 3rd in line for succession should anything happen to the Captain and Vice Captain. Nila Bio In the event the mech pilots are on ship and required to stop a boarding party they would answer to Nila unless Nyx or Charaya say otherwise. Nila sees herself as a bigger sister to the mech pilots, Aster, and some of the other younger crew.

Charaya and Nyx are 2 of 4 crew members that are known to be able to pilot the Helianthus. The 3rd is the next character to get a bio.

Meet Nyx Art by Applegreed Introducing Nyx, the Vice Captain of the Helianthus. If she was not the Helmskin she would be the head gunner. However as her captain rises in position so does Nyx. Nyx Bio Helmskin is just helmsman except it uses "kin" which is taken from the name of their species name "Draconic Kindred" aka Dracokin, aka D-kin. I do not think Nyx was an answer for anyone on line 13. Well she is not exactly the best measuring stick. However as a career soldier she can hold her own in a fight.

Meet Charaya Art by Applegreed Introducing the Captain of the Helianthus Charaya. Since the Helianthus is a prototype vessel on its maiden voyage this mission was assigned to someone without a critical position within Quebracho. Charaya Bio Another member of the older generation, but in the eyes of those at headquarters still seen as too young. I wanted there to be a blend of characters that have more beast like features and those that are more humanoid. Also the only character that can fly without wings (so far).

Charaya is the captain of the ship Helianthus. She hand picked the crew.

Meet Aster Art by Applegreed Introducing Aster. Comms Specialist is her official role, however she typically takes on the duties of a different role. She lists some of the things she is capable of on the first page of the comic. Aster Bio It is finally mentioned. For Aster's "Home", Quebracho is the organization that the Helianthus falls under. The pilot's specifically do not have Quebracho (QB) listed as their home because they all grew up in their home regions.

Today is the day for Aster. She is a noncombatant but that does not mean the role she plays is not impactful during combat.

Wip. A type of mammal that evolved into a form capable of flight. I worked on it thinking that it evolved at an extreme speed in some polluted area.

The slugs main form of self defense would be their very high internal temperature, cooking the mouth of any creature foolish enough to try to eat them. However Iolani can breathe fire so the heat of the slugs is noticeable but not enough to cause discomfort.

Question: Iolani eats volcanic slugs?
Response: This is almost like the equivalent of a person eating rats. When you raise yourself you eat what you can find. Slugs were a safer option than stealing but not always a reliable food source. So Iolani's food preferences are unusual to say the least.

Meet Kaliska Art by Applegreed Kaliska is the 5th and final mech pilot. So far I have been using the neutral facial expression, but this one is not. Her Motorcycle is the Najasehi. Kaliska Bio You can see her fighting style on the Fighting Game page.

Meet Iolani Art by Applegreed Introducing Iolani. She is the mech squad leader. Only 1 more pilot left before the crew members with other roles get introduced. The Helianthus is the ship that they are all on. Currently there are 17 crew members identified. Iolani Bio I realize I never said the name of the Organization that they are a part of. Well I will save it for one of the members that has it as their home. Hopefully I remember to write some words about it then.
