Rikuson then bows and kisses Maomao's hand. This later gets followed by Light novel 10 where Rikuson asks Maomao's hand in marriage. Maomao, however, takes it in jest (meaning she takes it as a joke and doesn't believe Rikuson is being serious.) Jinshi does find out about it and gets very upset.
Side notes: Jinshi developes a disdain for Rikuson all because of what happens the first time he's in the Western Capital. In light novel 5 (presume to be season 3 when we get that announcement) Rikuson takes Maomao's hand and leads her to the dance floor while Jinshi watches on.
