Early last week, the trustee governing USA Cricket put forward motions to end Johnathan Atkeison's tenure as CEO and settle the Venu Pisike-induced dispute with American Cricket Enterprises. As part of the latter, the ACE-USAC term sheet entered public record.

In a potentially related development, someone forgot to pay the bill on USACricket.org. It now gives a 404 error.
USA Cricket's bankruptcy trustee Mark Dennis, through his attorneys, has submitted a motion to the Colorado Bankruptcy Court to reject the employment agreement of CEO Jonathan Atkeison, citing Atkeison's $207,000 salary and the need for significant administrative reform at USA Cricket.
Update: the entire first day has been washed out as rainfall overnight rendered both fields unplayable. The tournament will issue a revised schedule soon.

A picture of Bristol Motor Speedway taken from above turn three several hours before the Food City 500. The full half-mile track is in view under a clear blue sky.
Setting up shop for the afternoon across the street from my house.
I watched the County Championship for the first time last weekend. It's unique in the domestic first class ranks in that it feels the most like an actual sports league, and it's something we don't have in the United States not just in its format, but in its mindset.
It was a thing, although not to quite the scale it is now, when I was applying to places. I took a tour of a school that had already admitted me in spring '08, and I toured another one in spring '09 when I was transferring, but I was pretty set on going there already.
The WCCA ordeal got the BC Supreme Court involved, which ruled in favor of the WCCA and allied boards in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario, and ordered the SGM overseen by a third party where Bajwa was removed.
Canada is set to host an ODI tri-series with the Netherlands and USA in June.

Arvinder Khosa is the new President of Cricket Canada. Amjad Bajwa was removed from his position at a Special General Meeting yesterday stemming not just from his mishandling of a CEO charged with fraud, but also from attempting to undermine provincial boards to remain in power.
Oh man, I thought the "Jelly Roll is doing the World Cup anthem" thing was a joke...
Some days it's just nice to wake up and see something good happened to a good person you know.
I went and saw Project Hail Mary.
A guy came in with his service dog and the dog sat there the whole time just concentrating on the movie.
Afterwards I told the guy I was amazed your dog watched the movie like that.
He replied, me too especially because he hated the book.
Foreigners don't want to come here and Americans balked at the markup on major city hotels. And anyone who has seen the prices on Olympic tickets will tell you this is coming around again in 2028.

Interleague play is an abomination that needs to end if we're ever going to be a country again
I'm gonna beat this drum forever: MLC needs to be less reliant on overseas players from both a branding and cost standpoint or more teams than just TSK will end up in this boat for longer than just this season.
While CSK were falling apart at Chepauk (again) on Saturday, the Texas Super Kings announced their international signings for 2026. It's a very old and VERY South African list, highlighting the limitations of MLC's import-heavy setup in a crowded international summer.
If I took a photo this cool it would be a floor-to-ceiling canvas in my house in a week.
the NCAA women's tournament getting Red Panda and the NCAA men's tournament getting the Chainsmokers is a great example of how toxic masculinity harms men too
