Our Constitution guarantees freedom of religion and separation of church and state. For a U.S. President to threaten the head of the Church because he preaches a message of peace is ethically, morally and constitutionally wrong. At what point will my colleagues say enough is enough?
As a Roman Catholic, I found the President’s unhinged attack on Pope Leo XIV abhorrent. This came after Good Friday services were cancelled by Pete Hegseth and a high level Pentagon official made a veiled threat of using military force to replace the leader of the Catholic Church.

Whether someone is a Democrat, a Republican or the President of the United States, if they sexually assault someone they will be held accountable. End of story.
It’s important that Congress shows up to try and do our jobs because we can’t rely on Mike Johnson.

First, I’m relieved that we have a two-week ceasefire with the Strait opened. That is positive. However, we need permanent peace and not a President buying time till he takes another motion to declare war or threaten genocide. We need the War Powers Act and to invoke the 25th Amendment now.
Invoke the 25th Amendment. The President is threatening genocide and acting in a completely unhinged manner. This cannot be normalized.
The President is too unstable to serve. The 25th Amendment needs to be invoked to stop the President from doing further damage to the safety and security of the US and the world.
We should be called back to DC now to vote on the War Power's Resolution to stop the war.

Instead of compromising and understanding that they are here to do the work of the American people, House Republicans put forward a bill that won’t pass the Senate. Now they’re going to point fingers while federal workers aren’t getting paid.
We should focus on the best interest of the American people but Speaker Johnson won’t bring that bill to the floor. It’s time to do our job and vote to pay these workers.
The Senate UNANIMOUSLY passed a bill to fund DHS other than for ICE and CBP. If the House puts forward anything other than the Senate bill, federal workers won’t get paid.
