Someone ask Mr. Ambition over here if he thinks the ACA wasn't ambitious enough.

The playing field is already tilted. You're literally saying "if GOP tilt the playing field in their direction, you're not allowed to tilt it back".

And, in fact, their "tilting' has been an extremely successful solution for them! It works! We have to make it not work and force them to give it up

Stupid goo goo nonsense. The only way to get fair districting is to pinch republicans in the mouth enough until they agree to fairness. Doing this with Callais days away from ripping up the VRA is so stupid I don’t know where to begin.

He is AWESOME & QUALIFIED! CA cannot end up with 2 MAGA aligned candidates! No vote splitting! He’s riding quickly in the polls! Dems & Indies MUST pull together! Google him NOW! Vote Becerra! 🙏

Opposing white supremacy is a crime in Trump’s America.

This feels a lot like southern states persecuting the NAACP during Jim Crow.

Texas politicians probably don't realize that there are multiple versions of the Ten Commandments.

The DOJ started investigations right away - however due process takes time and the GOP and the people involved put up multiple road blocks.

The current Supreme Court was put in place because the voters choose Trump in 2016, so yes, it’s still the fault of the voters.

Maybe blame the Supreme Court. They stopped states from removing Trump from the ballot on the basis of his indictments and convictions because, according to them, he hadn't been convicted specifically of "insurrection" (which isn't even really a specific statute to charge under)

This is wrong.

It was not Biden's job to stop Trump's second term.

It was the Voters.

They failed.

Hats off to you, Virginia! Love, a Californian, whose state also responded to Texas mid-census cycle redistricting ❤️❤️❤️

In the immortal words of Virginia’s L. Louise Lucas…. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Not only that, but CA was contingent on TX going first. The GOP could've stopped the whole thing, but chose to play with fire instead.

So much false equivalence in media on gerrymandering in Texas vs California & Virginia. California and Virginia maps approved by the voters. That's a huge difference not enough people pointing out

16 hours ago 15108 3714 261 174

The GOP entered this redistricting under the rather childish delusion they were going to gerrymander, and nobody would gerrymander them. In TX, MO, and a half dozen other states, they put their rather naive theory into operation. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind

Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.

It shouldn't surprise me anymore, but man a lot of people have a real problem with, "this dumb, immoral thing is actually legal."

Or legal under international law even though it violates domestic law.

Alas, not every Bad Thing is illegal. Many Bad Things are perfectly legal.

I think your first point is under appreciated. People weren’t focused on the election, and the Swawell story brought the upcoming election to their attention

4. They recently rejected Porter for the Senate.
5. Mahan is also inexperienced and a big tech money guy
6. CA has a high Latino voter population (30%) that is under attack from the GOP
7. Becerra has a long history in CA. The most experienced progressive with a real resume.

We know him.

Established accounts on here are implying it’s “suspect” that Becerra has moved up in the polling.

I’m a native Californian and I don’t think so.

1. Swalwell drama woke people up.
2. They looked at the top Democrats running
3. CA has repeatedly rejected candidates buying the Gov seat (Steyer).

We are heartbroken beyond words by the passing of our beloved daughter, Madison, 36, after a decades-long battle with juvenile diabetes and other health issues. She filled our lives with love and laughter, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void.

We are grateful for the loving support of friends and family during this difficult time and ask for privacy as we navigate this profound loss.

They bash us constantly to drive our approval rating down. They think they are so clever.

Do you have an actual point?🤦🏾‍♀️
You haven't said anything intelligent, insightful, or even thought-provoking & I doubt you will in the near or distant future.
Don't you have anything better to do than whine about Democrats in the middle of the worst presidency in history while the GOP has a trifecta?

After thinking about this some more, I think there are really two things going on here that interact in weird ways. One is the background radiation of Protestantism that influences everything in this country, and the other is the misinterpretation of Jewish terminology when non-Jews see it.

It’s funny because the main message Black men have gotten from the Democratic Party for decades now has centered around two caricatures named Pookie and Ray Ray and yet this apparently thermostatic process has led to them supporting the Dems at 80%+ rates.

Gentrifiers will tell you with a straight face that $100,000 is a working-class salary in NYC.

Also, "affordable housing" is a real estate weasel word. Affordable housing doesn't equal housing for low-income people.

People aren't attacking Russian immigrants for the actions of Russia in Ukraine. There wasn't some push to blame everyone born in Russia or of Russian descent after Russia's invasion. So, why isn't that true for Jews? I wonder......

1 day ago 0 0 0 0

It's absolute nonsense to victim blame those being attacked, to justify said attacks, because of the actions of a government. Full stop.

Americans shouldn't be punished for Trump. Jews shouldn't be killed because of Bibi. Not in Israel and not across the world.
