Do you remember where under C:\ you had it? Right at the root? Windows updates don't just delete random folders to get space, Microsoft would stop being able to function as a company if they did. You should be able to "undelete" most of it with the instructions in this thread.
Even if I only put in 8 hours from home, the company still wins because I'm not as exhausted from 3+ hours of commute. I don't have two 90 minute "dead zones" from traffic when I am DRI. My lunch breaks also usually end up shorter too.
