Sorry we couldn't stick around for the end, but well done on such a great weekend!
No two historical moments are identical. But in 1649, the Royalist James Newell wrote that so many "monstrous things" had happened that "it seems the world is off the hinges", and it's not difficult to sympathise.
Love you, mate.
Spent my evening removing two maggot-ridden dead rats from our shed (along with all the stored stuff they have contaminated) and then digging a grave for our cat's ashes. How's yours going?
Yeah, I had some counselling and the feeling of her being a fixed point in a chaotic life came up a lot.
It's been three and a half years since my mum went and I'm still deep in grief I can't outrun. It's been a week since Murray went and it's overwhelming.
The thing you don't realise about grief, until it comes, is how utterly exhausting it is. Your heart is running at full capacity, filled to the brim with love that has nowhere to go, from the moment you wake to the moment you fall asleep.
It was great fun working with @petitecreme.bsky.social on this, with assistance from @injculbard.bsky.social
Meanwhile, that UK universal healthcare is being dismantled so that we can have a system like the US. Fun!
Hahaha, first time I've ever been called that before...
Was very much the reverse for me: was mocked over the kind of bands I liked by people with, it turns out, very little taste of their own.
And then there was Shed Seven, but that's a different story.
I need a rewatch, but I've been thinking about characters crying in Andor. It struck me that, throughout, the members of the Rebellion shed tears for their friends and comrades, but those of the Empire only really cry for themselves.
Will be keen to hear how they work for you. Due to many Watering Calamities I'm considering them for our raised beds.
Important news from your favorite windswept crusty.
MINOTAUR, by Mike Dowling and Yrs Truly, will be this year's COMICS GIVEAWAY DAY offering from @ignitionpress.bsky.social.
Much much more in the days and weeks to come. For now: behold the shaggy disaster that is Me.

Do book ahead for the Rijksmuseum. There's also the Hermitage Museum, which is always far less busy but great. We didn't do any comics stuff, so no idea about that sorry.
♥️
Knights of the Magical Light!
My wife recently said "for someone who was never going to write another book you sure seem to be writing a lot of books" 🤷
He's not there yet.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh, do piss off.
Sure. But it needs long-term commitment to secure its long-term future, so I'll treat those "no plans" with a hopper of salt, thanks.
Ah, just saw your DM
Oh, absolutely! You got my number?
It's one of the very richest ones, yeah. Fucking fumin'.
FYI on that point youtu.be/_l6_Qf3uET0
That's wonderful. I'm sure you're overwhelmed with names, but my mum Jean Molcher passed away in '23 and it would be lovely if you could include her — thank you #Mums26
