Tried out plums in my peach ricotta cake and it was a success for our mahjong group (even though everyone mahj’d but me 😞)! Baking has been so helpful to process everything going on and some big new responsibilities at work. Also thrilled that our hydrangeas are going in the ground!

Folds: If we’ve been told our whole lives that we can’t spend money on the arts because they’re not important—then why was taking over the Kennedy Center and the arts the first thing they did?

It is extremely important. It’s the bedrock of self-expression.

Challenging myself to step away from some methodologies ingrained in grad school. I want to see if a different style (still communicative!) is a better fit to asynch/online. It's actually scary! But student scores and engagement are showing me it was time to rethink...an exhilarating teacher moment!
