I am pleased that voteclimate.uk is recommending a vote for Liberal Democrats in Cambridge Ward, Southport.
As active heat pump installer, I am heavily involved in renewable energy and committed to making Southport and Sefton greener.

What a lovely sunset over the Marine Lake this evening. It’s been a busy weekend out and about in Cambridge Ward, thank you to everyone who stopped for a chat.

Thank you. I commissioned a heat pump this week and have more installations lined up. It was mostly Green voters I was referring to but they aren’t campaigning in this ward so it’s pretty much a straight fight between us and Reform.
Out canvassing today, I spoke to some people who want to stop Reform but were not sure who to vote for in the local elections.
The projections show Cambridge Ward as clearly a contest between Liberal Democrats and Reform.
Remember, you have 3 votes on 7th May.

The poster board race is on!
I’ve put the first boards in Cambridge Ward and more are going up this week.
I love this about British election culture. Do you have a board up for the party you’re supporting? #LocalElections2026
After a busy weekend campaigning in Cambridge Ward, I thought I would share that I am now officially standing for re-election on 7th May.
I’ve worked hard and kept residents informed all year round. I believe I have made a difference and with your support, I hope to carry on making a difference.
Older residents should not be left waiting in the rain. We’re calling for more bus shelters on Cambridge Road.

Understood. I am all for electrification but what persuaded me on this one is the Government is making more in tax revenue from the higher fuel prices, so with that in mind I would rather use it to fund a temporary cut in fuel duty and VAT on public EV charging points.
Here are some of my highlights from March.
Thanks to everyone who got in touch and to everyone who came to our ward surgery.
Have a great Easter weekend all! 🙂

A public session has been announced on the proposed restoration of the Hesketh Park Conservatory.
Residents are encouraged to attend and find out more. #CambridgeWard
New planters now installed outside Churchill Avenue shops!
It’s something I’ve wanted to do to brighten up the area since even before I was elected.
Funded by ward funds from all Cambridge Ward councillors.
Thanks to the Council and the Natural Alternatives team for sorting. 🙂
I’m pleased to see the 8 new trees now planted on Emmanuel Road, funded from the Cambridge Ward Sefton Council budget and agreed by all three ward councillors.
Today I was out delivering our newspaper in Marshside and had some lovely chats with residents.
If you see me out and about in #CambridgeWard, please do stop for a chat. It’s always great to meet residents. 🙂
I’ve completed this consultation and would encourage residents to do the same.
Alongside national action, practical local steps matter too. Some areas now have safe knife disposal bins to take weapons out of circulation.
This is something I’d like to see in Southport and Sefton.

I was very pleased to hear the @libdems.org.uk in London have announced Operation Ironclad. Tool theft is an issue which is personal to me, this new campaign will build on my work locally over the last year on this.

It was a busy January in my role as a councillor. Here’s my monthly update for residents in #CambridgeWard
Had a nice Sunday walk with family and the dog around Hesketh Park today. The fountain looks great freshly painted. 🙂

I had a walk around Southport Municipal Golf Links today with Cllr Leo Evans and Green Sefton, discussing recent maintenance and on-going work on the course.
As ward councillors we are looking at how we can complement that work in the lead up to this year’s Open in Southport.
Broken paving flags and a missing bollard now replaced after I raised the issue. Getting more done of the small things that matter in my role as a local councillor. #CambridgeWard
Thanks to everyone who mentioned me and to Southport News for raising awareness of the upcoming local elections and the work that councillors do.
Helping residents is always a team effort and I’ll keep doing my best for Cambridge Ward.

They do, I think one year on pothole repairs but I don’t know the exact terms and conditions.
