"Another Unicorn Birthday Card": the feeling of love frozen in time, and my fear of only remembering where it stopped, not how we spent it. A grief that grows and walks and stagnates everything but passing time.

The colors of despair, or at least how I experience them in the living loss of her. It flows and fractures, and feels like a storm always bubbling under the surface. A silent hope that one day we'll meet again crashing against the belief that we never will.

Original watercolor painting with diagonal composition featuring dramatic contrasts between warm and cool tones. Vibrant golden yellow and burnt orange bands cut through purples, deep blues, slate grays, and navy tones. The watercolor creates soft, cloudy edges with areas of concentrated pigment and lighter washes
“Star Fire”: a commissioned painting for Kayla. She is deeply soft and gentle, with resilience that burst through as I painted her. I’m grateful to have been able to paint her and to know her; she is a genuinely wonderful person with incredible depths to her.

Jesus when he comes back to Earth:
Abstract watercolor with bold diagonal bands in coral pinks, deep purples, vibrant blues, and golden yellows flowing across the composition with rich, saturated colors
"Let's Make A Deal": new watercolor painted with the weight of past experiences influencing current reactions. I live in the dichotomy of desire to be healed from past trauma and the reality that I still allow it volition to color my present.

"Tingles": a new watercolor for my beautiful friend Amanda. She is vibrant, soft and complex; it was an incredible joy to paint her. I'm always so grateful that when my words fail to tell someone how much they mean to me, my art often can.

"How Good": painted yesterday while feeling insecure about myself, and "how good" I truly am. I often feel bullied by my OCD (as I know many do) and yesterday I felt the full weight of it and allowed myself to let these feelings flow.

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

12x18 inch watercolor painting on paper featuring an abstract landscape, and intense sky. The upper third is the sky made up of intense orange, coral, and red tones with varied saturation creating cloud-like bands. The lower portion depicts mountain-like layers. These mountains feature rich greens ranging from deep forest to sage and olive, interspersed with teals, aqua, browns, and touches of golden yellow. Irregular and odd edges.
"Interwoven": Watercolor painted while feeling the interwovenness of it all, how nothing is ever singular. People, feelings, thoughts. It all exists in relation to one another, and in order to experience it fully, you need to experience it all.

8x10 watercolor painting on canvas. The painting features an abstract blend of colors transitioning from gray and black tones in the lower two-thirds to cool aqua, teal, and deeper blue tones in the upper portion. The entire surface is heavily textured created through salt and old paint chips. Small pops of golden yellow appear in the upper left.
"Sea me": watercolor on canvas made using old paint chips, paint directly poured, and salt. I washed the canvas with a very light layer of black, and then began creating. This piece is how I view myself on my bad days: chaos, shallow, rough.

"Named Storm": allowing myself to feel the weight of love with nowhere to go. The spatter in the negative space represents emotions that linger when the "storm" has ended, like droplets on leaves after a rain.

Abstract watercolor painting titled “Grief and Sweet Memory” featuring flowing organic forms in vibrant sunset tones of golden yellow, coral, pink, and magenta, separated by winding channels of soft sage green. The colors blend and layer creating an almost lava over land effect.
"Grief and Sweet Memory": one of my favorite Hozier lyrics felt like the right fit for this painting. Made while letting the sorrow of unsaid goodbyes wash over me, and allowing the lava like burn of joy come through when I sat with my grief long enough.
