Porco caxxo.

Ma santa pazienza, se la AI nemmeno sa rispondere correttamente a cavolate che PRIMA trovavamo corrette su una banale ricerca, come diamine pensate possa funzionare a livello medico, così come in altri ambiti cruciali? Fareste costruire un ponte dalla AI?

Hard on the heels of the last cherry blossoms comes the ubiquitous azalea. Gaudy, dazzling and often over the top, it's one of my favourite flowers😊

Difficilissimo capirlo, a volte.

New cases of a deadly bacterial disease alarm doctors The Hib vaccine drastically cut cases of a once feared contagious disease. New cases in unvaccinated kids feed concern that Hib may have a resurgence.

Every doctor who cared for kids before the Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b) vaccine has horror stories of wards full of children, of kids with meningitis, of healthy kids who died the night they arrived

This is Hib:

Gustave Caillebotte's "A Balcony, Boulevard Haussmann" depicts two men observing the bustling Parisian street below from a high vantage, capturing the essence of urban life in 19th-century Paris. The painting features Caillebotte's characteristic precision and perspective, reflecting the influence of Haussmann's transformation of Paris.

The US spent $28.7 billion during the first two weeks of the Iran War — $2.1 billion per day.

This may be a higher estimate than you've seen elsewhere. Those estimates are too low. This one could be too.

Pfizer has ended its large Phase III Trial of an updated COVID19 vaccine.

They were not able to enroll enough people to meet their goal.

A major problem is the FDA’s wholly unreasonable demand that people with chronic conditions, who benefit most from the vaccine, not be allowed to participate.

Hallucinated citations are polluting the scientific literature. What can be done? Tens of thousands of publications from 2025 might include invalid references generated by AI, a Nature analysis suggests.

Lazy use of AI by half-ass researchers is putting digital asbestos everywhere, which will be a huge pain in the ass to clean up.

Just do your damn job as a scholar or let someone else with more integrity and competence have your position.

The main thing AI has taught me is a profound new appreciation for human intelligence (and human writing and art!), particularly that which emerges from longstanding experience, expertise and mastery.
