I'm on the list, which is a little funny, because I'm not against AI, just the stupid ways people are training and using it. LLMs can do cool shit when used properly. I made one to find proper nouns in my campaign notes. Doesn't mean I want one to write them for me.

I loved Noises Off. And Sneakers, but there was just something next-level about the directing and humor in Noises Off, just came off flawlessly.

Look, I got to take off my collar, I haven't been out of the house in 6 weeks, and I needed some snacks. Posting unflattering pictures of it is mean. :)

I had an early dinner with my mom after my appointment, and later drove my car for the first time since March 3rd in a quick jaunt to the store for groceries. Felt good to get out of the house (I haven't gone further than my mailbox since then, either), and to drive a bit.

Post-surgery followup went well. The X-ray looked good, and he said to wean myself off of the neck brace over the next 4 weeks. I've also got some physical therapy to look forward to.

I like how the 'Small' is $1 less than the 'Large'.

And that amazing $2 discount for the combo.

13th is several iterations of Star Wars RPGs. The more recent Fantasy Flight version had an interesting system, but I've never had an opportunity to play, same with the older d20 version. The OG West End Games one is still my favorite. Had a blast with that back in college (the first time around).

Big same. I'm generally happy to be left to my own devices.

Remember when every browser had a WYSIWYG web page editor built into it? AI feels like that.

1 more week until my followup appointment. I hope they tell me to ditch the collar, because I'm getting tired of it. My neck feels strong and I think it's just sort of in the way now.

I went from C to Java, and it was honestly kind of nice. I recently looked back at C++ and it was very painful.

All sort of moot since almost everything I do these days is in Python and JavaScript, my least favorite languages.

The rulebooks for OneDice Universal, Pulp, and Steampunk.

The rulebooks for OneDice Universal, Pulp, and Steampunk.

12th is OneDice. It does what it says: You roll 1d6 for everything, with a few modifiers. It's a very rules-light system. A friend ran a sort of steampulp game with it. Works well for when you want a simple rules system, but it's very dependent upon the GM setting a reasonable target number.

Third edition of the Generic Universal Role Playing System

Third edition of the Generic Universal Role Playing System

11th is GURPS. I haven't had a game of this last more than a session or two. It's the Generic Universal Role Playing System. I like that it has a build point system, because I enjoy complex character creation systems. It hasn't made much of an impression past that due to games ending. :)

Tenth is D&D. I found a purple box with weird dice at a garage sale when I was 12, and thus started my TTRPG journey. I haven't played it much since 3e, but between Critical Role and Dimension 20, I've kept up on it. Not pictured, boxes in a container in the basement that I shouldn't lift for now.

Ninth, we have Fate. I've played several versions. I especially like the accelerated version for con games. It's got a good system for 'on the fly' bonuses through Aspects, which your GM can also use against you. Makes for good storytelling.

Eighth, we have the Mayfair Exponential Game System (MEGS). I haven't found any better system for superheroes. It does a good job of modeling heroes at both 'normal' levels (Batman) and superhuman levels (Superman). Its rights have been tied up for a while, so it's out of print, but I still dig it.

Two shelf cubes full of Werewolf: the Apocalypse, as well as other miscellaneous World of Darkness books.
Unrelated is a mask I made out of a milk jug when I was in 6th grade. Why is it there? I don't know, I just think it's kinda neat.

Seventh, we have the various World of Darkness settings. Obviously, Werewolf: the Apocalypse is my favorite. To 16-year-old me, it was the closest thing to a religious experience I'd ever had. I got the 'New' WoD books on clearance. It's a much better horror setting, but that loses a bit of the fun.

My Savage Worlds and Savage Pathfinder books.

My Savage Worlds and Savage Pathfinder books.

Sixth is Savage Worlds, which a friend has been running lately. It's a decent system. More 'lite' than D&D or Pathfinder. Their playing card-based initiative system is neat, and there are Edges that interact with it in an interesting way. It's quite versatile.

Torg Eternity, a reboot of Torg from a couple years ago.

Fifth, we have Torg, both old and new. I loved the setting here, with clashing realities. Infiniverse was the first 'Living' campaign I saw. You could send in a questionnaire of how your group did a module and it could impact the story in future modules and books. Fantastic stuff.

The cover of the Daggerheart core rulebook

The cover of the Daggerheart core rulebook

Fourth we have Daggerheart. There's only one book for that so far, so I don't have a collection to display. It's much less crunchy and more narrative than most games I've played, but I love coming up with elaborate descriptions of what my character does based on the die rolls.
