I really like how it links OT Jubilee/gleaning/sabbath laws into how we engage in our communities as Christians and as churches. It was challenging to think about different ways of living that promote neighborhoods and people truly flourishing.

This is a good book

Luke 4:18-19 have often been over spiritualized but I believe Jesus is connecting himself to the material liberation of the oppressed outlined in the OT jubilee, gleaning and Sabbath laws. We are called to join with him both as a work of liberation now and a pointer to a future ultimate liberation.
