sidequest I've been on recently also is making some #zines for the first time! Something I've always wanted to do but just never got round to it. One about HTML and another I'm fiddling with about a Ladder. It's really fun to print them out and turn the pages physically

it's all so cyclical. You think you've lost it then it comes back. Over and over, and it'll keep happening. But I think that's okay.

I think it can be easy in my experience to just forget all the small drawings and focus on the big picture. But looking at these big pages of sketches and thumbnails that I just did and never showed anyone, it makes me want to keep sketching more and more.

on sketching, I found myself looking through my old pc the other day and went through a bunch of my work from the last few years. I think it's really easy to forget that wherever you are, it is always built on the layers and layers of foundations before it.

seems my new pattern is that I remember I can post things on here every 2 weeks. I've only really been sketching recently, and that's in the last 2 days. Other than that I've been messing with cs50 again, but that's very boring to talk about. #sketch ? or #art or something

If anyone knows anything more about shadercode than me some help would be awesome lol. I think the depth pass from Blender to Godot doesn't match or something, and I'd love to know how to get them to sync up.

I've been messing with depth textures and shaders in godot and I don't really know what I'm doing. I can get this capsule to walk behind geometry that doesn't exist now tho so that's cool.

it's finding the time to do things for yourself in this age that is the real challenge I think, when everything is so focused on profit and engagement. I don't want to create content I want to draw pictures that make me feel good !! I don't want to be a fucking influencer !!

but I do think that's also a shame! I would like to draw more for fun, and when I look at my old sketches or paint splats I realise how much I love it and enjoy it. I'd like to do it more for fun but you can't help but feel the weights of finding work and other problems pull you away from it.

but for a while I had a greater feeling of purpose, that drawing a lot would somehow reward me in the future with prospects or respect. Maybe it will but like, that part of me feels a little more dead, after trying to find a job in the art industry for a while lol.

on drawing, I think I maybe do it a little less at the moment because I feel less incentive, in some ways. Like I draw for specific purposes that feels very natural, if I need ideas for a website or game or want to remember an idea I will sketch it or draw it.

I think its just when there is a disconnect between doing the work and then making a post about I get hung up lol, like I know its probably worth taking the time to portray my stuff in nice ways and share it but it's just something that feels like it gets in the way for me sometimes

Ah yeah! I should post more wips, i do like seeing other peoples work in progress things so it makes sense lol. I think some of my favourite posts have been talking about what im doing and why, and then people might have questions about how to do certain things

But its also good that one can support what others make and do ! And its worth advertising things so that people can support you as well. Just so many adverts on the internet tho..
