Nick Ferrari this morning; there’s a road near me that’s been changed to 20 mph. As far as I know there hasn’t been any deaths or serious accidents there, so why has the speed limit been lowered to 20 mph?
So we need to wait for a fatality before changing the speed limit.

You’re welcome. If you can find the full length feature film of Tim’s Vermeer it’s a great watch. It shows a non artist trying to recreate one of Vermeer‘s most famous works. It took him months and nearly drove him nuts but the end result was stunning.

It is believed by some that Vermeer used some kind of projection device like a camera obscurer to trace the outlines for his paintings.

For a long time I never knew why John played lead on this but only recently discovered it was because George left the band and so John had to step in. Then George rejoined the band.

X is clearly a sewer but Bluesky has its issues. The level of sanctimony on this site is off the scale. A lot of hectoring from people who seem to take offence at every little thing - they clearly get off on confrontation.
Last year took my bicycle on the Ferry to Calais for £25 each way. Then took the train to Bordeaux and cycled along canals to Gruissan on the Med. Wonderful holiday. Planning on cycling from Paris to Le Mont St Michel this year.
