What did you use to make these? These are sick! I’m running Winter Scar right now and I wish I had graphics half as cool as these.

Of The Empire
We will be known as a culture that feared death and adored power, that tried to vanquish insecurity for the few and cared little for the penury of the many. We will be known as a culture that taught and rewarded the amassing of things, that spoke little if at all about the quality of life for people (other people), for dogs, for rivers. All the world, in our eyes, they will say, was a commodity. And they will say that this structure was held together politically, which it was, and they will say also that our politics was no more than an apparatus to accommodate the feelings of the heart, and that the heart, in those days, was small, and hard, and full of meanness.

Some do, but the amount of power they generate most of the time is pretty minimal. If you park them in the sun, they can recuperate a couple of miles of range in a day. Not saying it’s a bad idea! A larger stationary solar array for charging would probably make more sense most of the time.

This is precisely how a government sets up the framework to install a backdoor, create a firewall, and switch off the internet when it's convenient for them.

I’m pretty sure something along these lines is a pretty common house rule in the Lancer community, and for good reason.

There’s a reason I house-rule it to still let you take a quick action (though every other downside still applies). Not getting to play the game sucks.

I second this. I’ve been moving away from windows and I’d rather not go back, even for a good game.

This heavy-handed regime repression is backfiring in a still free media environment. By going after this one interview, the regime just gave Talarico an extraordinary boost heading into a competitive primary.

They're not the best or the brightest...

Are Minneapolis protesters paid, like the Trump administration says? Here's a fact check The monthslong Immigration and Customs Enforcement surge in Minnesota has sparked ongoing protests, some measured tens of thousands of demonstrators, others just a few dozen.

Reposting a WCCO-TV Good Question was not on our 2026 BINGO card, but here we are. Not sure how this slipped past CBS overlords, but we will take and and say "well done"! www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/ne...

We're excited to announce our first endorsements of 2026!

All three of these candidates have been endorsed by their local Indivisible groups and members, and all are running in Democratic primaries where voters face a clear choice about the future direction of the Party. 🧵

And now comes the most nauseating part of this whole goddamn mess: the hypocrisy. The same loud-mouthed idiots who spent years screaming about tyranny are suddenly dead fucking silent, or worse, cheering, now that it's their side doing it. "ThEy'Re cOminG fOr OuR gUnS!" "GoVerNMenT oVerReAch!" "ShAll nOt bE inFrinGeD!" All that chest-thumping bullshit evaporated the second armed federal agents started terrorizing people they don't like.
Let me get this straight: a civilian gets shot dead by federal agents, and the only thing you brainless cunts can muster is
"well, DHS says he had a gun"? THAT'S your red line? Guns are sacred when they're strapped to your waist, but magically become a death sentence when they're used as a post-hoc excuse by the government? Either the Second Amendment applies to everyone, or you never believed in it at all. Fucking pick one and own it.
This is exactly what tyranny looks like, by the way. Not jackboots marching in formation, but armed agents roaming neighborhoods, stopping people, killing civilians, and then daring the public to question it. Tyranny is execution followed by a press release. Tyranny is labeling the dead a "threat" so the state doesn't have to explain why someone's life just ended in the street. Tyranny is demanding obedience while shredding due process and calling it order.
And all you so-called "freedom lovers" are fucking fine with it, as long as it's brown people, immigrants, protesters, or anyone you've already dehumanized. Turns out "don't tread on me" actually meant "tread on them." You weren't afraid of tyranny.
You were afraid of losing dominance. There's a difference, and this moment exposes it completely.
"Just comply" isn't a principle. It's cowardice dressed up as common sense. It's the language of people who have already accepted that the state gets to decide who deserves rights and who doesn't. And once you make that deal, don't act shocked when the line moves, because it always fuckin…

Brooklyn Park police chief Mark Bruley: "We're hearing people being stopped with no cause & being demanded to show paperwork to determine if they're here legally. We started hearing from our police officers the same complaints. Every one of these individuals is a person of color... it has to stop"

I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.

Trump admits that this is nothing but political retribution. Minnesota voted against him three times and now he’s punishing us – putting lives at risk and wasting enormous resources in the process.

If you’re down to branch out from the fantasy genre, Lancer absolutely slaps, especially if you’ve got players who love buildcrafting. The official Trade Baronies expansion adds some more robust narrative rules, and the COMP/CON website/app is what D&D Beyond should be.

I don't understand why apologizing for a mistake and pledging to fix is so difficult.

This amounts to thousands of real people who didn't realize their activity was publicly accessible retroactively for over a month. That's not fake news. It deserves to be recognized. 🤷🏻‍♂️
