Hud Ulésse and Ëalcor from Relinquished Realms, Book 3 of the Noss Saga. An anthropomorphic elderly wombat caresses the ear of a giant thylacine, who is nearly as big as a horse and rests on the ground by her. The wombat is wearing a green robe, a conical hat, yellow gloves, and holds many gardening tools in her belly pouch. They wait in front of a decorative moon gate in a lush garden full of orchids and ferns.

I loved painting this moongate and playing with foliage brushes for this illustration. The gardening/botanist wombat is named Ulésse, and the giant thylacine is Ëalcor.

Back in 2019 I painted up Banshee to look like a thylacine. Little did I know she was just a Colossal genetic experiment! (I put the watermarks on my then-Twitter profile because I was worried someone would take my pics, shop them, and try to use them in fake news lol)
