When Danger BOi & the Antagonists hits the shelves of your comic book stores, I highly recommend you pick it up and give it a read. You won't regret it. My rating is 4 out of 5 stars; an 8 out of 10. 8/8

Overall, this book delivers on relevant social commentary wrapped in a superhero tale. I love the characters of DB, CF, and Hardshell. I wish Meliora, CC, The Statesmen, and DB's supporting cast had more panel time, but hopefully that'll happen in the next issue. The art is breathtaking. 7/8

Now to talk about the art, it's so beautiful. It evokes the retro, 60s era of art of comic books past. I think Sean Peacock's art fits amazingly with the retro-futuristic vibes. Las Torres looks highly stylized and down to earth. The color combinations are beautiful as well. 6/8

I do wish that we would've seen more of DB's supporting characters. I don't want to spoil the book, but I wish that could've been expanded upon more in the book. I also hope we see more of Meliora and Crash Cart. Of the team, they felt the least fleshed out. 5/8

as the main antagonist (no pun intended) in the first issue, I did enjoy Hardshell's characterization. I was also reading his character in RDJ's voice, and it worked amazingly. I hope we can see more of the Statesmen in the future. They seem like they'll be fun antagonists for The Antagonists. 4/8

seeming like a rip-off. He's his own character with his own struggles, and his backstory is darker than I expected. I also enjoyed the character of Cold Fusion, who may be a mentor figure for DB (if we get a second issue fingers crossed). While I was hesitant to see a Iron Man pastiche as the 3/8

on the genre. However, after reading it, I can say I was wrong to have that fear. While it does have social commentary in it, it serves the story of how corporations are taking over the country (art predicting life). The character of Danger BOi evokes Invincible and Batman Beyond without 2/8
