I now got confirmation from my daughter that it was 5 teenage kids that we're target practicing nearby, and some had bad shots that were too high and went in the direction of the mall parking lot.

I'm waiting for an update from my daughter to see if what they heard could've been teenagers nearby. Gun violence has everyone so scared that they automatically think the worst when hearing gunshot. Regardless, I know they were terrified.

I found this when I was looking for updates last night. I'm now wondering if what they heard was that kids were illegally target practicing nearby, and they possibly thought it was directed at them. I'm still waiting for an update from my daughter to see if this is what they heard.

I'm hoping one of the people detained is the suspect.

The whole thing is crazy. You'd never expect something like that when you're just going to the mall with your family.

Whoever it is was shooting at my daughter, my granddaughter, and my son in law.

Something has to be wrong with someone like that.

So I just got a terrifying call from my daughter in Walla walla.

They were parked with no cars around them at the TriCity mall. While walking to the mall, someone shot at them. They're ok & they left the area. Cop's are looking for the shooter.
