5calls.org If you have a few minutes, you can call your congressional and senatorial representatives and indicate your positions and desired changes on an issue. It is easy to feel like you don't have a voice. It's also easy to just call your representatives. #democracy

Physical medicine sometimes involves reasoning with incomplete, messy data, and long journeys with patients to resolve their problems. That doesn't mean it isn't possible to solve hard problems.
I did not know that MDA or MDMA was derived from sassafras. I had heard that a great deal of street 'Molly' actually was MDA, not MDMA.
I would recommend green tea if you are trying to lower your intake of coffee. It's still got some caffeine, and the theanine in it works synergistically for focus. When I'm taking my caffeine intake down, that's what I drink. Surprisingly good with a little milk and Splenda, especially iced.
This paper demonstrates again what the evidence based hypertrophy community has been saying: if you can reach concentric failure it is is heavy enough. Use of deuterium rich water to spot myfibrillar change was a method I was not familiar with. Thanks!

1) probably some differences of receptor affinity to serotonin like drugs 2) some differences of receptor activity / responsiveness to the 2a receptors once they are activated 3) probably just as important, the specific unique iteration of sprouting in the person's connectome.
While I think that psychedelic and meditative states definitely create a situation wherein one does not feel the ego, or it relaxes to say that it is an illusory experience seems to miss that it is a kind of default. Why should we default to an illusion?

I am not saying this can happen easily, but it can happen. Imagine #physicaltherapy, #dietetics, #mentalhealth practioners, and #medicine all under one roof, cooperating and integrating their knowledge bases and preventing problems before they start.

Elevated Deficit Split Lunges for #glute and #hipflexor #mobility and work capacity = chef's kiss. Absolutely gets after those muscles without overloading the lower back, or creating excessive axial fatigue. If your glutes are not developing, I'd recommend them after your main squat / hinge work.

I cannot recommend Robert Sapolsky's Stanford lectures enough. Understanding more about how #neurobiology intersects with behavior can absolutely make you more compassionate towards yourself and others.
Currently enjoying the heck out of my concomitant training. You totally can build #strength, muscle, #cardiovascular #fitness, and #athleticism simultaneously if you are OK with not maximizing your progress on any one of them at a time. Do you train multiple athletic properties at once?

Post from my blog over at TempestHealthCo.Com regarding what I term 'fake exercise': things that feel like a stimulus, but don't actually produce robust adaptations over time. #exercisescience #physicaltherapy #strengthandconditioning
Proposal: put pull-up and dip bars by every library, and playground.
I had abandoned using isometrics for hypertrophy, keeping them for positionally specific strength and muscle reeducation. This paper has me thinking differently. #evidencebasedlifting #fitness #denver
Testing this out on myself, and interested clients. Long length iso training feels amazing
