Meteor Shower is a good example of trying to make you at least cautious for the boss
Meteor doesnt sound too menacing (considering he goes OUCHIE) till u remember the shit they tell u about him moments before
the song helps u think "okay this guy isnt fucking around" compared to the previous one

another one i love is Lonely Mercenary due to how different it is compared to the other tracks
it shows that Aramaki isnt like anyone Tatsuya fought, that he has killed before and wont hesitate to do the same to him
it set the atmosphere perfectly for that

the way it even manages to speak a little from both perspectives in that fight just hit too hard
amazing storytelling in these games man im telling you

these are all such amazing themes that tell u even just a little bit about the situation and even the opponent
SO UNUSUAL being unique as in its the only one with lyrics between those
i love them all

another thing i love is how they use the music for storytelling
like with how different the gang themes sound in KH1 and the boss themes in both games
great examples of these: Karate Monster, Little Revenge, SO UNUSUAL, THE NAKED PANTHER, Primal Instinct, Struggle Gold Castle & PANTHER IN THE STORM

for a guy who i absolutely fucking hate, he has one of the best fights from both games imo

I absolutely adore Kurohyou and its message about finding a reason to fight is so great

The characters all had such a great charm in both that I cant seem to find a way to pick between either of them ngl
I loved Ryusho, Taizan, Makoto, Saki, Cho, Fujimoto, Akita, everyone basically

also the tournament thing letting u play as the other members of the main cast is so cool even if they're all stuck at level 1 there

the gameplay EASILY goes to KH2, although the first game is phenomenal, KH2 just does everything better, the combo potential is so much bigger and levelling styles isnt as much of a chore because of the Yakuza

I definitely prefer the story in KH1 but KH2 also has an amazing story, and with an antagonist that is actually present the whole time plus an even larger friend group for the main cast AND a whole playable sequence with one of them

the OST I'd say goes mostly to KH1, i prefer the battle themes from there but KH2
but the boss themes are definitely a clash for me cus they're both peak in their own ways

I have such a hard time deciding which i like more between Kurohyou 1 and 2
personally the bosses from KH1 were a little more memorable but the boss arenas in KH2 were so much cooler and set such a perfect atmosphere
