The issue is not that it wound up in the final game. The issue is that it was used at all. Using Gen AI is using Gen AI at any stage of the process, and companies keep trying to push our boundary for what is permissible farther and farther with stuff like this. Don't fall for "well it was JUST..."

There are story aspects in this film that are derived from the comics story called Spider-Man: The Other, written by Peter David, Reginald Hudlin, and J. Michael Straczynski.
Peter, seen below, died last year.
