I had a couple of kids ask what type of music it was. And a couple who mentioned that they had heard The Girl from Ipanema before. I’m a bit surprised the Spanish speaking kids (more than half the students) didn’t ask about the Portuguese language.

I sort of listened to this album a half-dozen times today. I played it for my middle school art students every period.

Thank you for posting. As a bald man, I feel represented.

It is incredible, just so different from the Stones albums that came before and after it. It is a bit of an outlier (albeit a good one) in the discography.

Based on your post, I gave the album a stream and I am really impressed. It is now on my list of albums to look for. It reminds me of Elliott Smith’s Figure 8 album. Thanks.

I think I borrowed it from the library when I was in 8th or 9th grade.

Even their worst album is better than most and deserves some love.

I think it is his best album.

My hot take is that it is a better album than Band on the Run. But I reserve the right to change my mind tomorrow.

This is what I framed. When choosing, I gave equal weight to how much I loved the album and how great the album cover is.

This gem is on my top-ten list.

“Once” is the only album not on my list that you have suggested. I’ll give it a listen. The other three are, but I will have to wait until two of them are back in stock. I did order from Harper’s site; he has a three albums for 50 deal that is very generous, even with the shipping being what it is.
