In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.

Keir Starmer actually put this in a briefing to Labour MPs of 'useful questions to ask' today. The PM knew of Mandelson's relationship Epstein when he appointed him.
And yet thinks he can still exploit the grief of the victims. This is why he is not fit to be Prime Minister.
I'm always skeptical of BBC-bashing, but BBC News website hasn't reported on the Tice tax scandal since 12 April, when the headline was "Tice £91,000 tax row is 'minor administrative error', party claims".

BBC News December 2024:
‘Farage has meanwhile said that he "might disagree with Mandelson on his politics, but he's a very intelligent man" and would be good choice for ambassador.’
WOW: A stunning new report in the WSJ reveals that military advisers intentionally excluded Donald Trump from the command room during the recent high-stakes operation to extract a downed U.S. airman in Iran, because they feared his erratic behavior could jeopardize the mission. 1/
End all UK government contracts with Palantir. This is a technofascist blueprint. Palantir is a security risk and should be nowhere near UK Defence, NHS and government.

NEW: Richard Tice failed to pay almost £100,000 in corporation tax, benefiting his investment company which made large donations to Reform UK.
First time Reform's deputy leader's tax affairs can be directly linked to finances of Nigel Farage's party.
Faiza Shaheen: "Do they [the govt] think we're idiots.. Starmer has a track record of lying.. he made 10 pledges.."
LK: "Politicians often change their mind about things.."
The msm can't acknowledge what Faiza is saying, despite it being incontrovertible, because they were complicit
Trevor Phillips said on Sky News this morning that "everybody in the country who could read a newspaper" knew in advance of the Mandelson appointment that he was problematic
is this the same Phillips who interviewed Mandelson on October 08 2023 and didn't ask any questions about Epstein friendship?

Outrageous
• MPs’ Menu in Parliament: “thyme roasted portobello mushroom
on potato, root vegetable and horseradish rösti and spiced avocado” — Cost: £3.80 (subsidised by you)
• NHS Staff Menu in Hospital: “Macaroni Cheese” — Cost: £5.50 paid by NHS nurses).
I love how spending years making a community with welcoming/affirming friends in Glasgow is cast 'indoctrination' and 'social contagion', but starting a detransition after watching TikTik videos isn't.
These people always tell on themselves.
Isabel lives in Dubai. Do you think she can speak Arabic?
BREAKING: We’re taking the government to court over Palantir.
The government is refusing to hand over important briefings given to Wes Streeting about the £330m NHS data contract with Peter Thiel’s surveillance firm
So we’re taking legal action.

Flying_Rodent @flying_rod..• 17/04/2023 X The Times are today reporting Sir Keir didn't know about this stuff because he's basically a bonnet ornament: a balloon on a stick, a stuffed suit the PR ghouls actually running the show can shove in front of a camera. PR ghouls who are presumably completely unconnected to Peter. Flying_Rodent @flying... • 17/04/2023 One of Britain's most infamously crooked political bullshit artists saying Yes, inflammatory drivel is great, l am in favour of filling the bandwidth with nasty smears. Peter Mandelson tells #TimesRadio he would have signed off on Labour's attack ads.
2023, here
It doesn’t take hindsight to realise Mandelson’s appointment was a terrible idea. It didn’t take foresight to realise it at the time.
It just took sight.
Pretty bad that BBC news at 10 went to the Tories and Reform for comment on the Mandelson story but not Lib Dems, Greens or SNP. Either get comment from the official opposition or a spread of parties.
Nigel Farage has said that he wants to move towards an insurance based healthcare system.
The NHS wasn’t built in Wales just to be a destroyed by Reform UK.
A vote for Plaid Cymru is a vote to protect and strengthen our NHS.

BBCs coverage this week hasn't been about "revealing sham immigration advisers". Yes, they exist and should be combatted, but these deliberately create the misleading idea of people seeking asylum committing widespread fraud. It's been about paving the way for this. 1/
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
BBCs coverage isn't just misleading, it is inflammatory. It has predictably been latched onto by the far right and others, including this government, to call for even more restrictions on those seeking asylum. Along with others, I explain here how wrong it is 👇

A 3 day investigation into abuse in 3 areas on one note. A 3 day investigation could illuminated 2-3 different perspectives
- are rules open to abuse (and what is the regulation of unsolicited advice?)
- do the v complex rules create opportunities to exploit while failing those who need protection
BBC immigration investigation comes across as a v unusally editorialised + framed piece of reporting on the BBC 10 o'clock news for many years.
Poor to choose an election period, when immigraion salience has biggest contrast between voters of different parties in Wales, Scotland + England.
If Starmer knew what that Mandelson failed his security vetting and didn’t tell Parliament, he lied to the house and should resign. If he really didn’t know that Mandelson failed his vetting, he’s incompetent and should resign.
tonight’s FT splash
One last thing, the phrase “uncovered a covert industry” suggests the involvement of many people and many firms but the BBC News reporting so far only features a very small number of examples.
