My best solution is moderate exercise and pacing myself. Need to reduce inflammation system-wide.

What, women don't like being punish-passed, or having men get out of their giant pickup trucks to yell at them for cycling on the road?

Making cycling better for women makes it better for all of us, cuz despite my male privilege and I pushing through, I don't like that shit either.

The future of a family in south Lebanon shouldn't depend on what Roscoe in Wisconsin thinks about gas prices.

I need a more reliable way to get notified of these things.

Slightly related: I watched Avatar again (ahead of the new one), and when it first came out in 2009, I still had hope we'd turn this planet around - the movie served as inspiration for doing that. But now? I've lost that hope, and the whole thing just hit me so much harder - fucking depressing.

That tells me if you aren't the type of person who forgot you had an extra $10 grand laying around in your chequing account, they really don't give a shit if they have you as a customer or not.

8 million protesters is 2.3% of the population, and 1/10 as many as voted for Trump.

Clearly the solution is to teach kids how to jump out of the way of cars in physical education class!

Same in Burnaby. What I don't get though, is even the design is bad? Why are the bus lanes used as turning lanes? I think of Willingdon, for example, where cars turning into BCIT block the bus lane, but there's a million pedestrians crossing, so everyone always gets stuck? It's ridiculous!

Good good. You're gonna need lots of manpower to liberate all that Iranian oil back to the USA after you bomb them into the Stone Age.

What about the emergency workers that responded to save people after the missile strike on that bridge, were they recovered safely as well?

I mean, yeah, Musk flat out said that's the plan...

"We need to strike an appropriate balance, where we have cars absolutely everywhere, nobody is forced to consider using transit, and the amount of pedestrian deaths is kept to an acceptable number. I'm smart enough to know you'd be crazy to walk anywhere in this city, so it won't be me."

Updates to GitHub Copilot interaction data usage policy From April 24 onward, interaction data from Copilot Free, Pro, and Pro+ users will be used to train and improve our AI models unless they opt out.

I just found in my @github.com settings that they automatically opted me in to their "Allow GitHub to use my data for AI model training" setting. This says you have until April 24 to opt-out. github.blog/news-insight...

I feel like there's a *lot* of variance within the NDP from province to province, and especially federally, so I'm not inclined to use that as any type of yardstick. And the problem/solution sets are so different.

This is just me taking a shot that the NDP has, historically, been largely rhetoric in this regard, but I'd love to see them do better and take real action like that. He will very likely have my vote. bsky.app/profile/chri...

The first time I was punish passed changed me irrevocably.

I feel like everyone who rides a bike will eventually experience so much blatant disregard for their life, if not outright animosity, that they eventually snap.
