But my original point is that UNC has failed to come anywhere close to putting this amount of guys into the coaching field, which makes their desire to keep things close to home impossible.

We can debate success, but my main point is that UNC has done nothing lately to grow anything close to this many branches.

UNC’s problem is that they haven’t done enough to grow their coaching tree. They’re gonna hate hearing this, but they should have been following Coach K’s model for years now. They want to keep things in the family, but the family hasn’t been raised right.
