Can see one sale at that price. If not money laudering then could be an error listing and then a confused buyer thinking it was Yen or something? Don't expect the sale to actually go through in that case...

There's also a nice later Lester Sterling cut under the name "Casa Blanca"

Look up "brushing scam". What dodgy sellers do to improve their rankings
Should only cost you 50p, it was actually a hit! Halloween sounds good, will investigate!
Other one of his I have is this, which I should probably get rid of, don't think it's very good. Everyone trying to have a Marty Robbins cowboy style hit I guess

Just saw that it was National Eraser Day...
Don't know much about Sonny Moore, except that he was in the Drifters at some point (who wasn't?! ๐) and has a few slightly odd 45s.
Love the harpsichord on this one from about 1967

Deejayed a few times with someone who was a Beefheart fan and they used to play this one (sounds better loud than on this YouTube video)

Listening to this Nino Tempo and April Stevens LP and forgot this one had bagpipes in!

I'm just imagining JB glaring at them across the stage and fining them $5 per out of time/out of tune squeak
Haha! the version on Bobby and Betty Go To The Moon with the extra synths instead of squeaks is probably more listenable tbh, but I love the ridiculousness of this one
UK series should be presented by Brian Butterfield though
Need to put the cream first when it's really thick, like the tubs of Rodda's clotted cream (from Cornwall ๐ )
Think that one's come via a separate route (from a verb "gassing", to hype something) so just a coincidence maybe
I've listened to the Happy Monsters version too often and now the original sounds wrong without the squeaky toys

So depressing, hate all this video content so much
I just met you
Looking for a whale
Here's my number
Call me Ishmael
They're not jukebox singles, just how 45s were meant to be! Only the UK and a few other places used LP size holes...
Great version (the first?) of Down Home Girl on the other side too ๐

How about the Alvin Robinson version, you got that? youtu.be/QPqfFGQehAM?...
Oh yeah, forgot about that, the whole Certain Lions & Tigers album is decent if I remember. Also "Fever" is on the Circle of Sound sampler which is a charity shop regular
Nice, couldn't really help with any particular suggestions the other day, but have some Anthony Rooley and James Tyler lute LPs and they are good (also one with them both, but not that one)
Another recent cheap twelve, from Spitalfields this time - Mykal Rose from Black Uhuru "Run Dem a Run", on a Mafia & Fluxy digi riddim

Two picture sleeves for 12" singles both with monochrome photos - Camelle Hinds and Opaz
Pair of 90s twelves found recently in the local Oxfam.
Absolutely love the Camelle Hinds "Sausalito Calling", first heard it on a comp in the 90s, comp was patchy so got rid a while back, been looking out for the 12 instead.
The other new to me - Opaz ft. Ray Hayden "I Don't Want It"

I once got butter on Val Doonican's trousers. He was sitting in front of me on an aeroplane and I was mucking about with a pack of butter. It slipped out of my hand somehow. Didn't see where it went till he stood up to disembark.
Anyone know if the London Independent Labels Market is happening this year? See there's one in Bristol in a couple of weeks but don't see anything listed for London yet... (was in May last year)
Also got a lot of 45s that sound like this Knockouts one. Other side on this is good too ("You Can Take My Girl")

Did I post this Bobby Freeman one up before? Am a sucker for these Twist style beats

the thing in the middle looks like a Soundcraft mixer, the thing on the right is a SP-404 (or similar)
