my astronauts are all morons!

mercury is the most underrated planet ever

1st iteration to the left shows our lovely subject without any form of protection! Why make a suit when your flesh suffices? It'll be interesting to see what happens to the human body when it is exposed to the vacuum of space! 2nd iteration shows our loyal subject confined inside of a metal tube! Still a suicide mission but at least it keeps her alive for a few minutes to gather very important sciences before she cooks in her metal tube coffin! 3rd iteration shows much of the same as last time but with arms and cooling for comfort! Wowzah. Looks like our loyal subject is actually coming home... considering she survives reentry, which no one has so far! No legs yet, but who needs that? 4th iteration shows our loyal subject incased in a metal tube.. but what's that? LEGS?? and proper o2 regulation?? Who added an extra zero to the budget?? Now our loyal subject is ready for longer excursions into the void! And hopefully a return... maybe just with a bit of cancer.

oh gee i wonder why our astronauts keep dying inside the impenetrable metal tube guys maybe we should learn what radiation is or maybe we should go back to throwing them out into the vacuum with no suit on at all. do it for your country! long live the telumren empire!!!

i dunno much about backgrounding but I use a bunch of references and start with large shapes before going into smaller details! I basically just threw a bunch of strokes at the canvas until it resembled something tangible. thank you for the kind words ! :D
