Yeah I can agree with you on that, not looking for a heated debate just saying what I see from the outside, the fact fans are having these debates about it all is the reason I think it’s all a bit embarrassing for the club. I still think the contracts get sorted but didn’t have to be so messy imho

Like I said it’s all negotiation tactics but the fact this is happening in December , with 6 months left on his contract suggests to me that they aren’t close to signing the deal and Salah is upping the pressure. I dont have sources, I just use common sense and Im allowed to think it’s embarrassing

One of our all time greats has been left in limbo with 6 months left on his contract and obviously no good breakthrough behind the scenes otherwise why would he speak to the media. I think it’s far more embarrassing for the club to have found themselves in this position in the first place

That’s obviously the play here but it’s still a bit embarrassing for a club that pride themselves on keeping everything in house, to have your best player having to speak through the media during a season where we look very strong for the title.

I just watched salah saying he’s not had a formal offer still and he’s more out than in. Obvs a good negotiating tactic but is that not a good enough source of information from the man himself with his own words?

For what it’s worth I think Salah, VVD and Trent all sign a new contract in the next few months. I’d genuinely be shocked if that wasn’t the outcome but what do I know 🤷‍♂️
