People were focussed on the federal issues, Trumpism & I guess, assumed DoFo was good for Canada too. DoFo knew that if the Fed election happened first, Ontario would then pay more attention to the provincial one & would probably vote Liberal with the whole Carney movement, so made his election 1st

It's there a way? I mean he just had an election & won a massive majority because only something like 19% turned out to vote. It was manipulated. It was during his Captain Canada "I'll fight Trump" days. He played to the apathy of Ontarian voters with an almost simultaneous federal election.
