Would any of you be interested in reading my yaps about graps? My soliloquies of the squared circle? My writing about wrestling? I've had a few topics in mind + reaching out for interviews for my blog and channels!

Can't make it good if it doesn't exist first. Get it started and then fine-tune it.

Outlining really helps organize the thought process a fair bit for me for longer writing as well to help get the juices flowing.

Sometimes, I also skip the opening paragraph/intro and work on the body first.

Heading out to Next Level tomorrow to reconnect with people, see T8's latest patch update live, and get some commentary in once again! Really looking forward to getting out there.

The fact that he just... said it with no "Hello, Fellow Kids"-sounding wind-up for it and just "owns" it the whole way through + The METAPHOR MAKES SENSE is actually flooring me. His communication is so good with stuff like this.

I feel this every time I interview someone. Just gotta roll with the flow at that point, and it pans out.

The Wrestle Kingdom 20 Match Card for NJPW. This is specifically the match card for the main-event: Hiroshi Tanahashi's Retirement Match. On the left is Hiroshi Tanahashi. On the right is his opponent and greatest rival, Kazuchika Okada.

Saw some discussion about early picks for MOTY, and I don't think we're going to get a single match as masterfully done as this one sorry to say. Okada/Tanahashi delivered a feat that directly spat in the face of Father Time himself and gave, IMO, their greatest bout ever for Tanahashi's retirement.

Deep breaths. Shake off the nerves. Drink some water. Once you get up to read, let the nerves dissipate and roll off as you let yourself feel your own words and presence.

Best of luck out there, Ash! I know you'll do well! You got this. : )

Would you, by any chance, be up for an interview about this + your last matches as an epilogue to your previous chapter/prologue to your next?

...Ok so... unironically, but I kinda see it...? For different vocal registries and what have you.

Given the Arcade--->Console Model/Pipeline (console having exclusive modes/characters + arcades being coin-op and absurdly difficult as a result for 1P) + how quickly FGs shifted to DLC, this just replaces that. I'd rather the revisions be DLC/Patches than a whole other near-full purchase besides.

I saw a tweet from James Chen where he said something about how that experience is antithetical to FGs mentally. Constant Ranked Queue/Grind vs. Playing Lobbies where the Winner Stays On to give you time to compute, relax, and reset while the other games go on. I've tended to agree with that.

Early PS2 discs were blue, yeah. Those were just plain CD-ROMs. Then, you had the DVDs that was silver bottoms later that became standard + the dual-layer DVDs that were gold and occasionally used.

Kicked into high gear around the PS3/360 Era. The push for realistic graphics combined with the marketing for ever-increasing console horsepower and the chase of Hollywood/"cinema" in video games. I far prefer a good stylizing vs. hyper-realism, but that chase was very in-vogue around 2005-2006.

You're correct about Finlay. He was a Young Lion back in 2015 out of the Noge Dojo before working with Juice Robinson to form FinJuice, so he predates the LA Dojo system entirely.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ghz... It's very true. The vids are still out there + he used to have a website to sell his services for this sort of gig.

That's such a cool boost visual. Very nicely done!

It's kinda cool to see GG Strive rework just about its entire game systems with this 2.00 update. SF6 didn't do enough to change the game, T8 probably did too much in too many different directions, but Strive was focused on "lowering the power level + remove WA". More of this please.

Somewhere along the line, a lot of the discussion turned very "black or white" rather than being far more nuanced. I myself am not a huge fan of Hasan Piker by any means as a person, but I won't say that he hasn't been one of the louder voices amongst a chronically-online demographic on the Left.
