Thoughts on Ducks/Oilers Game One.
Jason Dickinson was a shrewd addition by the Oilers.
Big for the Oilers to win without McDavid scoring. They didn't win a game in the regular season when McDavid didn't score.
The Ducks' forwards did create challenges for the Oilers D.

Thoughts on Wild/Stars Game Two.
Much more of a Dallas identity type of game.
Oettinger's bouncing is huge for the Stars.
Is Wyatt Johnston underrated?
Brock Faber has been fantastic for the Wild.

Thoughts on Sens Hurricanes.
Didn’t win. But great game from Ullmark.
That save on Hall in the first was a turning point.
Tim Stutzle had an unlucky game.
Canes are a resilient team.

Thoughts on Flyers Penguins.
Flyers are playing with more pace.
Penguins power play is disorganized. Has to change.
Vladar has been good.But he hasn't been challenged.
I don't bet against Crosby. He will be a factor.

Thoughts on Utah Vegas.
This is going to be an intense series. I don’t think Utah is here for funsies.
Vegas got a good game from Carter Hart. I’m not convinced he can keep it up for seven games.
Vegas was better in the important times than Utah. Experience was a factor.

Thoughts on Bruins-Sabres.
Incredible atmosphere. Especially in the third.
Bruins didn't generate enough. Getting outshot 38-20 won't help. Stuck to structure. But couldn't gain momentum.
Coming out party for Tage Thompson.
Sabres powerplay will need to be better.

Thoughts on Habs-Bolts.
Great game.
Credit the Habs for two things.
Jacob Dobes made some big saves early.
Overcoming the two quick goals in the second.
Coming out party for Slavkovsky.

Thoughts on the Kings Avs Game One.
Kings made it a greasy game. Which is fine. But you have to take advantage of opportunties. Panarin missed a big chance. Doughty missed a chance. Late penalty from Armia didn't help either.

Thoughts on Flyers Penguins.
I thought there were a few times the Penguins were being too individual in the offensive zone.
The Flyers deserve a ton of credit for silencing a great crowd tonight. Keeping it scoreless after one helped.
Porter Matone had a great game.

Thoughts on Wild Stars.
Wild were the sharper team, moving and controlling the puck.
Quinn Hughes was very sharp.
Wild's bottom six provided a physical presence.
Stars will be better in Game Two. It's a long series. Oettinger will be fine.

Thoughts on Sens Hurricanes.
Felt like a football game. Hard to find an inch.
But the Hurricanes found the inches.
Sens took too many penalties.
Andersen was very good. I also liked Svenchikov.
Sens could use Kleven back.Lost a lot of net battles.
