Doc: so with Ehlers-Danlos there are 9 major markers and signs we look for. If you have 3 or 4,we get suspicious and need further testing.

I have completed surgery and I am now home with a small dog and cat cuddling me

I'll probably be a bit light on the posting this week as PJ has his next MS infusion treatment tomorrow and then I have surgery Thursday. Thank heavens I have a beautiful mother in law coming in to help!

A quick note on the health stuff that has been impacting my streaming (as well as literally everything, lol).

There are still tests to be done to determine one of the main factors. But for the moment, I'll just say I'm slated for surgery on April 9.

All that said, there will hopefully be more answers soon. But I'm grateful for doctors who listened, and for family & friends who wouldn't stop bugging me to go get the issues this caused checked out.

So here is to me getting back to making the SUPER LOUD FACE NOISES soon - I have...IDEAS.

While idiopathic means we don't know why (yet), the good news is the doctors have all confirmed my vocal cords are NOT affected, so after surgery, I'll be back to singing up a storm again! Which is great, because as you can imagine, the possibility otherwise been weighing on me heavily.

Basically, my airway has narrowed to a small fraction of what it should be. This affects breathing, obviously, but also leads to fatigue, exhaustion, and a whole host of other things, including severe brain fog.

To PJ's surprise, the brain fog wasn't simply because I am ginger.

This is surgery to address something that has developed over the past few years that I finally have an answer for - idiopathic subglottal stenosis.

Big fancy words that just mean - in my attempt to deal with everything with dark humor - my body is trying to choke me out without my consent.
