I just released my first TTRPG, Jump! Solo!
It's easy and breezy, very flexible, and full of tons of cute illustrations! And despite its (hopefully catchy) name also supports more than one player!
You can check it out here: wonderwhimsy.itch.io/jumpsolo

I LOVE MY FRIENDS πππππππ
I thought you guys might want to know:
Post a meme made by you.
Hilariously I made this FOR prev to roast me with.
My bank recently got acquired by another bank with the acronym CBT (also cognitive behavioral therapy, and... the kink thing...)
Quote with a title screen that is important to you.
It's unnecessarily difficult to find a video of the title screen that actually includes the letters breaking apart and the [spoilers] in the night sky, which are the best parts about this title screen.
Same! I'm usually very quiet and reserved, so everyone who met me this last weekend got to meet a rare chatty version of me lol
Hey first time reaching out like this on here but I recently got hit with a hefty medical bill and could really use some help covering it ππΈ

I've got one year to sew and embroider a Count of Monte Cristo tote bag for next years ACES conference. Will it be enough time?

There are so many foods I learned I loved once someone besides my mom was preparing them π
First day of #ACES2025 done, and I can't sleep now because I'm too excited for tomorrow π
I've got about a 40 minute drive from where I'm staying with family, so if I'm a little sleepy tomorrow (today?) it's just cause I had to wake up oh so early!
I was so pissed at myself for giving this trending video another view. I downvoted, which I assume does nothing nowadays.
My feelings on AI generated art are complex and inconcrete, but at the end of the day, most if it's just bad. π And if I'd gone into that video knowing it was AI... well, I wouldn't have watched it, but if I'd HAD to for some reason, then at least I would have expected it to be bad!
Finally I went to check the video description, really expecting to see that the composer/performer was some oblivious white guy.
Reader, it was AI π€¦
I listen to a lot of video game music on Youtube while editing, and yesterday the algorithm recommended a 'mariachi covers of Zelda' video. I got 15 minutes into it before I had to turn it off because it was so bad, clearly not done by someone who knew anything about mariachi.
I've been trying to figure out what my outfits will be for the ACES conference next week, and I'm really lamenting the fact that I dont have a big "Ask me about The Count of Monte Cristo" button.
I don't talk about Monte Cristo enough to really fulfill my dream of being 'that one guy who's obsessed with Monte Cristo' to every who knows me.
I got so excited that someone else wrote semicolons, that Severance (which I keep telling Tumblr that I'm avoiding learning about) was a bit of a jumpscare lmao
introvert, ice cream, dessert, chocolate chip cookies, semicolons, severance, enjoying adult beverages under palm trees, being curious, buffy!, podcasts, etymology, turning stuffy instructions into clear language, vinyl records, style guides, ai ethics, diversity equity inclusion and justice
Word cloud of some of my favorite pre-filled interests (based on what other attendees wrote) in Whova for the #ACES2025 conference

How we feeling fam, I've been very much hoping this news was fake for a while π I imagine I COULD be sold on the idea... but it would take some work...
The bottom of this rabbit hole is that my brother owns alpaca he has to shear every year and no idea what to do with the fiber, so, with very little effort on his part and very much effort on my part, he could have an alpaca Christmas scarf in a decade (if we haven't disowned each other by then)
Good (bad?) news: my mom HAS a rigid heddle loom that apparently been sitting in its shipping box since before my dad died, and if I'm willing to put it together I absolutely may use it. We're doing it man we're making this happen.
The fiber arts brainworms continue, as I pause work every ten minutes to look up more about weaving. What if I spun my own yarn to weave into my own scarves??? What if I could find a weaving loom for less than $100?? π€
Passing them on is a great idea! I've also been trying to figure out what I would DO with the yarn once I've spun it. I'm not a knitter or crocheterβI do embroidery, and there are some cool projects which incorporate yarn, which I might try out.
I was just gonna say! Sourcing the roving seems to be the thing I'm hung up on. I actually have some Merino from my old needle felting days, and that's all my local craft store seemed to have, but I think Corriedale (or something like it) is what I need to start with. I guess it's to Etsy for me!
I watched a woman working with a drop spindle for about twenty minutes this weekend, and now it's all I can do to stop myself from buying one for me. I really don't need a new craft hobby to abandon after two weeks... but what if I DON'T abandon this one, hmm??
Post your lock screen if you want!
I've had Leslie Ann Levine stuck in my head all week. I've listened to it, thinking that would help get it unstuck, but it has not. I just crave ghost songs apparently.
