HEDY LAMARR escaped from her Nazi husband by disguising herself as her own maid, became a Hollywood star, then co-developed a radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes - the principles of which are incorporated into today’s Bluetooth and GPS technology.

Hell of a lady.

BALDWIN: Do you think NIH should fund less cancer research?

RFK Jr: No, they should fund more, & one of the few agencies that got a raise in the budget was NCI

B: That increase is less than $1m for an institute with a $7b budget. That's a .01% increase. It wouldn't even cover one additional grant

“if you’re worried about polio tuberculosis, you should look at the immigration policies as a place where it’s occurring are the place with the immigrants are going cause they’re not vaccinated…”

Exact quote from RFK Jr. He is a liar and this rhetoric is incredibly dangerous.

possessed nothing except infectious political and physical diseases”.

RFK Jr. just said in a hearing that vaccination rates in the U.S. went down “because the government lied to them about COVID”.

He blithely ignores that under his “leadership”, the government is lying to us NOW. Vaccination rates and trust in the government have plummeted since he was installed.

I am going to disagree with you on this.

I think that private companies can afford to take risk risks that the government can’t.

If we’re ever going to mine asteroids run space stations beyond Mars, it will be corporations that will sell the long term bonds needed to build this infrastructure.

This Data Center Is Getting a $77 Million Tax Break to Create One Job No other project in the country has gotten such a large subsidy to create so few jobs, according to watchdogs.

A New Jersey data center will reportedly receive $77 million in tax breaks — while only creating one permanent job.

One job, in exchange for higher utility bills, noise pollution, and potential groundwater pollution.

Is it any wonder communities are organizing to stop data centers?

Every day they get worse. Now they want to stop teaching English to foreign kids. Here in HI we have a lot of families moving here from COFA countries, and our schools must teach then English. They're entitled to all rights of citizens except voting.

Sounds like a corollary to “The Skyscraper Curse” by Mark Thornton which proposes vanity projects like the world's tallest skyscrapers are completed just as the subsequent corporate crash occurs.

Sen. Jack Reed to Warsh as he dodges questions about divesting his assets: "Excuse me. I must commend you on the way you can circularly go around questions and not answer them. It's a skill. Unfortunately it's not a good skill for the chairman of the Fed."

This Isn't Trading. It's Theft from Your Retirement. Someone keeps making perfectly-timed bets right before the President speaks. The victims are your pension, your 401(k), and the country I took an oath to defend.

Fifteen minutes before the President announced he was pausing strikes on Iran, somebody moved $500 million in oil futures. Somebody knew. Somebody told them. Or somebody is them.

Why make people sick if you don’t have to? This is like so irresponsible.

Especially when you have like a military, you can’t have them all sick from the flu.
